Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Wiley Wilkerson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Fedor Emelyanenko!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Steven Brown and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Emelyanenko tries to keep at a distance but Wilkerson has taken the fight into the clinch.
Wilkerson drops down looking for an ankle pick but Emelyanenko pulls his leg out and moves away.
Emelyanenko tries to clinch up

and Wilkerson moves into the clinch.

Wilkerson works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Wilkerson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Wilkerson is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Wilkerson decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Emelyanenko, up you get!

Wilkerson drives through and clinches with Emelyanenko against the cage.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Wilkerson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Some wild striking there from Wilkerson.
Horrible takedown by Wilkerson or perhaps it was just good defense by Emelyanenko which made him look bad.

Emelyanenko tries to keep at a distance but Wilkerson has taken the fight into the clinch.
Wilkerson is trying to pull guard but Emelyanenko turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Wiley Wilkerson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Emelyanenko is trying to maintain a safe position but Wilkerson gets an underhook and turns Emelyanenko into the cage.
Wilkerson fails to pull the fight into his guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Wilkerson goes for a takedown in the clinch but Emelyanenko prevents it.
A battle for position here, against the cage.
Wilkerson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Wilkerson has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Emelyanenko uses from the top position.

Emelyanenko wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Wilkerson's closed guard. He's half up but Wilkerson has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Wilkerson pivots and extends the arm, Emelyanenko falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Wilkerson! Well done that man!
