Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Leo Spartan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Derick Trotter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Derick Trotter has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Leo Spartan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Derick Trotter!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Trotter throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Trotter pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Trotter lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Spartan circles away quickly and effectively.
Trotter misses with a looping right.
Trotter throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Spartan avoids a punch combination nicely.
Derick Trotter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Trotter has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Trotter there as he acknowledges the shot.

Spartan lands a big uppercut and Trotter crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Trotter looks OK. Spartan waves Trotter back to his feet!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Good leg kick by Spartan there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

We've been told by Spartan's head coaches at All Around Training that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Trotter tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Spartan manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Trotter throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Trotter can do anything to dispel that myth.

Leo Spartan overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Spartan drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Spartan jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
