Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Cecil Peoples (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Machi Machiko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Peoples kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Party People by Nelly Featuring Fergie. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peoples tries to clinch there but Machiko circles away.
Sloppy strikes from Peoples. Those never looked like landing.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Peoples. Machiko shrugs it off though.

Peoples bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Peoples fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Machiko on the side of the head.

Peoples is trying to push Machiko away but Machiko has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Machiko misses with a low kick as Peoples jumps back.

We've been informed that Machiko has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Peoples moves in looking to clinch but Machiko pushes him off.
Machiko moves into the clinch successfully.

I was talking to Peoples's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Machiko doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Peoples has a couple of punches blocked by Machiko.
Peoples tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Cecil Peoples dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

enabling Machiko to counter with a crisp jab.
Machiko throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
A low kick from Machiko is predictable there
letting Peoples counter with a right hand.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Machiko.
Peoples with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Machiko to score with a decent uppercut.
Machiko moves into the clinch successfully.
Peoples is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Peoples is trying to break free.
Machiko lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Peoples backwards.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Machiko connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Peoples is rocked!
Machiko circles away before darting back in with a big straight right hand. It connects beautifully and sends Peoples tumbling to the canvas! He's out cold! Machiko wins by KO!
