1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Marshall Creola! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A shot to the liver by Gaines. Beautiful body shot. Gaines takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Gaines closes the distance and clinches. Gaines managing to block the knees to the body from Creola.

Gaines wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Creola keeps control of Gaines as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Creola on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Gaines thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Gaines has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Creola can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Gaines is on top in guard.

Creola really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gaines. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Gaines thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Gaines decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Gaines has managed to clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Gaines is trying to drag Creola to the mat but Creola just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Gaines tries to pull guard but Creola holds him up against the cage and eventually Gaines drops back down to his feet.

Gaines is trying to push Creola away but Creola has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Gaines tries to score a body lock takedown but Creola shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Creola creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. A head punch blocked on the inside by Gaines. Creola slows down the pace here.
Gaines is working for takedown but Creola is calmly controlling the position for now. Gaines jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Creola walks away with a smile on his face. Gaines gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Creola swings and misses with a hook to the body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Gaines is defended easily by Creola. Creola rushes Gaines and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. A short right hand to the side of the head by Gaines. Creola pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Creola throws a punch but it's blocked by Gaines. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Creola seems frustrated at his inability to get double underhooks. Creola tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Gaines blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

That was a close second round but I would say that Marcus Gaines will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Marshall Creola has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Gaines is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Creola doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Gaines. Gaines is looking for a kimura but Creola is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Gaines to get the leverage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gaines keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Gaines throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Marcus Gaines overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Creola tries to kick Gaines off but Gaines keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Gaines stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Creola to get to his feet. Gaines closes the distance and clinches up with Creola, looking for a takedown. Gaines pushes Creola against the cage but Creola circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Gaines tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Gaines darts in looking for a takedown but Creola gets double underhooks and turns Gaines into the cage. Marcus Gaines is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Gaines is looking for a takedown.
And that's the end of the fight! Marcus Gaines showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Gaines, winning every round. Will the judges agree?
