Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jc Bright (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tiago Calixto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Calixto has chosen Wanted Dead or Alive as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jc Bright!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tiago Calixto!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Alyssa Summers and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bright tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Calixto swivels and escapes.
Calixto moves to clinch but Bright breaks away
and Bright counters with a two punch combo.
Bright tries to clinch up but Calixto circles away and keeps his distance.
Calixto closes the distance and pushes Bright back into the cage.
Bright misses with a knee to the head.
Calixto manages to break the clinch.
Calixto fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Bright avoids it really well and circles away.
Bright really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Calixto is looking to clinch.
Tiago Calixto seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A combination from Calixto does no damage.
Calixto tries to score a power double leg takedown but Bright sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Calixto somewhat.
Bright is looking to clinch.
Calixto closes the distance and clinches up with Bright, looking for a takedown. Calixto pushes Bright against the cage but Bright circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Jc Bright has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tiago Calixto.

Calixto shoots in for a double leg but Bright sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Bright swats away the attempt to clinch by Calixto.
Bright moves into the clinch.
Calixto tries to pull guard but Bright holds him up against the cage and eventually Calixto drops back down to his feet.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Calixto holds on and takes a little breather.
Bright works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Jc Bright has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Bright tries to clinch up but Calixto circles away and keeps his distance.
Bright shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Calixto napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Bright is staying tight to Calixto's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Bright working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Bright wants to lay and pray for a moment but Calixto keeps working.

Bright tries to stand but Calixto is controlling his head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bright is trying to get an arm triangle but Calixto is defending well.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Calixto gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Bright circles away from the clinch attempt.
Bright looks to land a right hand but Calixto moved out of range.
Calixto misses with a few strikes there.
Calixto darts in looking for a takedown but Bright gets double underhooks and turns Calixto into the cage.
Calixto jumps guard but Bright stands there with Calixto around his waist. Calixto gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Calixto drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Bright gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Bright displaying some good clinch control by pressing Calixto up against the cage.
Calixto breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Calixto dives in and grabs Bright's left leg, looking for a takedown. Bright pushes down on Calixto's head and hops out.
Calixto fails with the takedown
and Bright counters with a single leg into guard. Calixto didn't expect that.
Calixto is breathing heavily.
Bright scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Bright controls from within his opponent's guard.
Jc Bright overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Bright wanted to stand there but Calixto had control of the position.
Calixto is trying to keep Bright in close.

Bright slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Bright sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Calixto is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Bright tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Bright working the ground and pound but Calixto is defending the strikes.
Bright remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Bright wants to lay and pray for a moment but Calixto keeps working.

Calixto wants to control but Bright postures up.
Bright is looking to take a break and control but Calixto is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Bright is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Calixto is trying to escape and Bright transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Calixto is forced to tap! Nice work there by Bright! Very nice indeed!
