PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sean Madsen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thiago Garza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Garza has chosen kickboxer theme as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Garza throws a nice head kick!

It looks like Sean Madsen has been cut.

Garza moves into range and clinches up with Madsen.
Garza's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Garza jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Madsen walks away with a smile on his face. Garza gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Madsen enables Garza to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Madsen manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Madsen controls Garza momentarily but Garza frees himself.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Garza throws a strike but Madsen rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Garza has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Madsen is fighting to break Garza's control of his arms but Garza is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Garza manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Madsen manages to get himself to full guard.
