Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Fernando Navas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marc Zietsch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marc Zietsch is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Fernando Navas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Marc Zietsch!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Chris Edwards and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zietsch thuds his right hand into Navas's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Nice body kick there by Navas.
Zietsch throws a nice inside leg kick.
Zietsch throws a jab but it's blocked by Navas.
Zietsch displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Navas throws out the jab.
Navas throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Zietsch circles away from the clinch attempt.

Navas clinches up with Zietsch and pushes him back against the cage.

Zietsch tightens his grip and picks Navas up, before dumping him to the ground. Navas manages to land in guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Navas looking to control.

Navas throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Navas is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Zietsch missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Zietsch throws a big elbow that misses.

Navas manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Zietsch gets back to half guard.
Zietsch won't allow Navas to pass to mount.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Navas takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Navas thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Zietsch's head.
Zietsch desperately trying to maintain half guard.
Navas is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.
Navas postures up in Zietsch's guard and throws a big left but Zietsch blocks it.
Navas trying to control but Zietsch is working from the bottom.

Zietsch is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Navas trying to control the position from guard on top but Zietsch is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Navas throws a big right hand that misses.

Zietsch is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Navas defends well.

Zietsch has his foot on Navas's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Navas works his way back into a safe position though.
Navas wants to control from the top but Zietsch keeps moving.
Zietsch is trying to keep Navas in close.

Zietsch looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Navas passes into side control.
Zietsch is not content to let Navas control the position.

Navas looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Navas cracks Zietsch with a big elbow.
Navas working the ground and pound but Zietsch is defending the strikes.
Navas looks up at the clock and then as Zietsch takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Navas smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Zietsch wants to control but Navas postures up.
Zietsch is trying to improve his position.
Navas misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Zietsch tries to buck Navas off but Navas is having none of it.
Navas connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Zietsch some visible discomfort.
Zietsch wants to control but Navas postures up.
Navas is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Zietsch will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Zietsch is looking to reverse the position.
Navas advances to mount.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Zietsch is in a horrible position here. Navas smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Zietsch in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Zietsch wants to control but Navas is having none of it.
Navas tries to control but Zietsch wriggling away.
Zietsch tries to hold on but Navas postures up.
Navas trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Zietsch felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Zietsch is trying desperately to improve position.
Navas lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Fernando Navas dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Navas throws a body kick despite being completely out of range

and Zietsch counters with a takedown into side control.
Navas is looking for a sweep.
Zietsch wants to control but Navas is keeping him busy.
Zietsch controlling the position.
Zietsch cracks Navas with a big right hand but Navas just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Navas is looking to reverse the position.
Check out the look on Zietsch's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!

Zietsch is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Navas knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Zietsch looks up at the clock and then as Navas takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Zietsch smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Navas is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Zietsch is controlling him well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Zietsch wants to control but Navas is keeping him busy.
Marc Zietsch has got the better of the ground game so far.
Navas tries to bench press Zietsch off him but Zietsch keeps the position.
Navas sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Zietsch winds up and cracks Navas with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Zietsch looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Navas wants to control the action here but instead Zietsch manages to pass to full mount!

Navas is trying desperately to improve position.

Zietsch has hold of Navas's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Navas manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Zietsch postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Navas looks a forlorn figure.

Navas really wants to buck Zietsch off and get back to his feet.
Navas tries to lock up and control but Zietsch gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Navas is rocked!
Oooooh, big shot lands for Zietsch! Navas is hurt baaadly! Zietsch is firing away with more strikes - Navas is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:47 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Marc Zietsch!
