Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jimi Hendrix (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Sinatra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jimi Hendrix!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 32 - 18 - 4, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frank Sinatra!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Chris Edwards and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A good leg kick by Hendrix.
Hendrix scoring well with a low kick there.

Sinatra shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Sinatra showed some decent athleticism there.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Sinatra wants to control but Hendrix is keeping him busy.
Sinatra trying to pass the guard but Hendrix defending well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sinatra trying to control the action but Hendrix is working from the bottom.
Sinatra tries to pass to full mount but Hendrix defends it.
Sinatra is just content to waste time from the top position. Hendrix takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Hendrix wants to get back to his feet but Sinatra is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
We've been hearing good reports from Hendrix's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Sinatra sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Hendrix's guard.
Sinatra thows a huge punch but Hendrix dodges it nicely.
Hendrix is looking to escape.
Sinatra is pressing down on Hendrix's thigh, looking to free his foot. Hendrix is holding on for now.
Hendrix is staying active underneath Sinatra, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Sinatra wants to free his trapped foot but Hendrix is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Hendrix wants to get back to his feet.
Sinatra is trying to control the action in half guard but Hendrix is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Sinatra postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Hendrix looks a forlorn figure.
Hendrix is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Sinatra can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Hendrix is looking to escape.
The referee warns Hendrix that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Hendrix is trying to stand up.
Hendrix blocking the ground and pound.
Sinatra raining down hammerfists from mount.
Hendrix is squirming around, avoiding Sinatra's attempts to control the action.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Sinatra scoring with strikes but Hendrix is staying in there.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Sinatra wants to control the pace but Hendrix is squirming around nicely.
Sinatra is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hendrix shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Hendrix misses with an uppercut. Sinatra saw that one coming.
Sinatra works Hendrix's body with a nice hook.
Sinatra tries for a takedown but Hendrix sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Sinatra throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Sinatra shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Hendrix as he jumps to the side.

and Sinatra counters with a nice double leg into guard.

We've been informed that Sinatra has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Sinatra throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Sinatra trying to control the position from guard on top but Hendrix is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Sinatra in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Hendrix keeping full guard, as Sinatra tries to pass.
Sinatra stands and throws Hendrix's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Sinatra taking a break here but Hendrix is having none of it and regains half guard.

Sinatra wants to pass to mount but Hendrix is defending the position.
Sinatra scoring with strikes to the body and head.
Sinatra is stalling here. Hendrix is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Sinatra seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Hendrix has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Sinatra is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Sinatra looks to move to half guard but instead Hendrix has passed into mount! Damn!
Sinatra is in all sorts of trouble here.
Hendrix tries to stand up but he's trapped just for the moment.
Sinatra is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Sinatra holds on for dear life, controlling Hendrix's posture momentarily.
Sinatra keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Sinatra wants to hold on but Hendrix pushes him away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Frank Sinatra showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Sinatra gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Hendrix.
Hendrix lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Hendrix lands a nice shot to the body.
Hendrix misses with an uppercut.
Hendrix ducks right into an uppercut from Sinatra.
Hendrix loads up on a big right hand but Sinatra slips the punch.
Sinatra shoots for a takedown but Hendrix saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Sinatra takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Sinatra lands a nice shot to the body.
Hendrix takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Hendrix throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Sinatra.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Sinatra fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Hendrix avoids it really well and circles away.
A big left from Hendrix misses.

Hendrix throws an off balance right hand

and Sinatra counters with a single leg into guard. Hendrix didn't expect that.
Hendrix keeping moving, preventing Sinatra from controlling successfully.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sinatra scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Hendrix keeping full guard, as Sinatra tries to pass.
Hendrix wants to stand but Sinatra is controlling the position.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Hendrix is working to avoid the ground and pound but Sinatra connects with a decent elbow.

Hendrix is squirming around, avoiding Sinatra's attempts to control the action.
Hendrix is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Jimi Hendrix has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Sinatra has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Sinatra lands a couple of good shots and Hendrix has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
