The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGowan scores with a hook to the body. Sharp takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
McGowan throws out a loose jab but Sharp uses good head movement to avoid it.

McGowan lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Sharp throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around McGowan's waist but McGowan gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sharp off to one side.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
McGowan scores with a shot to the body.
McGowan lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Sharp up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs McGowan from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Sharp's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.
