Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Keys OMalley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nicolas Arenas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Nicolas Arenas! The judges for this bout are Josh West, Ryoma Takatsuka and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Arenas tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. OMalley manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. OMalley throws a right and a left that both miss. No joy there for Arenas, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
OMalley throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Arenas misses with a jab, cross combination.

Arenas tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but OMalley paws at him with a jab and circles away. Arenas on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. OMalley leaves Arenas with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Keys OMalley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. Arenas tries to close the distance and clinch but OMalley swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Arenas throws a jab but it's blocked by OMalley. OMalley dives in for a single leg takedown but Arenas sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Arenas tries to score a body lock takedown but OMalley shows good agility there to stay on his feet. OMalley breaks the clinch.
Arenas pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces OMalley back to the cage. Arenas follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. OMalley throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Arenas throws a left and a right that both miss
and OMalley counters with a nice body shot. OMalley is looking to wear down Arenas with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Arenas drives through with a takedown into OMalley's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! OMalley controls Arenas momentarily but Arenas frees himself. Arenas has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of OMalley is proving hard to escape from. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Arenas is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Nicolas Arenas is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Nice shot lands for OMalley. Arenas misses with a combination

OMalley tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Arenas fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Arenas shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Arenas wants to stand but OMalley has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Keys OMalley has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Keys OMalley. I think Arenas has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
