Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Drandt Bavis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matthew Newell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bavis kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is When I'm Gone. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Chris Downing and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bavis stuffs the takedown attempt from Newell. Newell gets slowly back to his feet.
Newell doesn't manage to clinch there - Bavis circles away.
Newell shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Bavis as he avoids it easily.
Bavis scores with a crisp jab that stopped Newell in his tracks.
Drandt Bavis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Newell misses with a takedown attempt - Bavis sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Drandt Bavis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Matthew Newell.
Newell tries to bum rush Bavis with a series of wild strikes but Bavis uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
A combination from Bavis does no damage.
Bavis lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Newell can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Bavis and Newell drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Bavis.
