Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tony Smiff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John NasEeke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smiff lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
NasEeke on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Smiff. Smiff obviously looking to wear him down.

NasEeke has taken the fight to the clinch.

Smiff breaks the clinch.
NasEeke tries to bum rush Smiff with a series of wild strikes but Smiff uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Smiff knocks NasEeke to the floor with a head kick! Can he finish him!?

It looks like John NasEeke has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Smiff moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Smiff is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

and NasEeke counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Smiff lands a high kick to the side of NasEeke's head that stuns him and send him tumbling down to the canvas! Smiff dives into guard, looking to finish.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Smiff slips nicely into half guard.
Smiff content to control rather than advance.

Smiff will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

NasEeke is defending against the submission attempts here by Smiff.
NasEeke tries to kick Smiff off but Smiff keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Smiff, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
