Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bridgam Green (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Micah Newell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bridgam Green! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Micah Newell! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Wesley Smith and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Green scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Green lands some shots froms side control. Newell is looking for a sweep. Green tries to score with some ground and pound. Newell controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Newell is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Green off and has taken his back! Green grimaces as he takes a shot to the body. Newell is persistently looking for the submission but Green is defending it well.
Green rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Newell looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Green trying to control but Newell postures up.
Newell has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Newell uses his free foot to push down on Green's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Green. Green is in a horrible position here. Newell smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

That's one minute gone in the round. Green taking shots to the head. Green defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Newell. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Newell looks gassed! Green manages to regain half guard. Good work. Green has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Newell is working away from the top position though. Green tries to roll over but Newell keeps him under control. Newell is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Green has managed to free his arm - good work. Newell is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Green is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Newell's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Newell's back!

Will Green go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
Green is looking to finish with some ground and pound! I really don't envy Newell right now.
Green looking for the choke from the back. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Green is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Newell has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here. Green is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Newell is defending well though. Green let's go of the attempt for now. Newell tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Newell can't escape the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Green jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Newell manages to avoid the submission attempt. Green wants to control but Newell is keeping him busy. Green working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Newell is looking for a sweep.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Excellent takedown into side control there by Green. Newell sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Newell looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Green is looking for a kimura but Newell is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Green to get the leverage. Green prevents Newell from improving his position. Newell looking for submissions off his back. Newell gets full guard. Green slips nicely into half guard. Newell tries to roll over but Green keeps him under control. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Green is trying to work for a kimura but Newell is defending well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bridgam Green dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Newell gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Green holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Newell is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Green stops a takedown attempt from Newell.
Bridgam Green has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Micah Newell. Green comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Green lands an elbow inside. Nice elbow from Green. Green breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Newell blocks a head kick by Green.
Green tries to close the distance and clinch up but Newell swats him away and circles back towards the center. Green has taken the fight to the clinch.

Newell has had enough of the clinch but Green keeps him there for the moment. Green is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Newell is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Green gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Green breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Green lands with a nice combination. Newell backs away looking to recover.
That's one minute gone in the round. Newell circles away from the clinch attempt.
Newell tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Green swivels and escapes. Green could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Green throws a sloppy head kick and Newell moves out of range easily. Newell shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Green as he jumps to the side. Bridgam Green is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Newell shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. BOOM! Newell connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Newell landing strikes from the mount and Green is in trouble! Green in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Green keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Newell postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Green looks a forlorn figure.
Green manages to regain half guard. Good work. Green tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Newell seems to be working for a kimura but Green defends the submission attempt. Green moves into full guard.

Newell stopping the sweep attempt from Green. Green had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Newell is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Green Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Newell's back instead. Green misses with punches from the back.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Newell rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Green is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Newell defends it well. Green wants to get back to his feet.
Newell gets full guard. Green is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Newell has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Green is looking to defend but Newell has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Green! Newell pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Green taps out and this one is all over!
