Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Major Pain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carter Macki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Major Pain! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Carter Macki! The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Eddie Farnsworth and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Macki fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Pain feints and as Macki raises his hands in defense, Pain changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Macki looking for a sweep. Not yet Macki, not yet. Pain sitting in guard, not really doing much. Pain's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Macki had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Pain defends it easily. Pain trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Macki manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Pain is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's one minute gone in the round. Macki being controlled here momentarily. Pain pushes Macki off and scrambles back to his feet.
Pain keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Pain closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Macki to the mat! Macki manages to get full guard. Macki looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
That's two minutes gone in the round. This has been an exciting period of action! Pain trying to control the position from guard on top but Macki is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Pain with a nice head shot there. Macki pulls Pain in close to his closed guard and prevents Pain from doing any damage or advancing position. Macki not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Macki is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Macki throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Pain stops Macki from standing up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Pain controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pain wants to stand but Macki is controlling his posture from full guard. Pain knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Macki on the ground. Macki trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Macki thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Pain postures up.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Macki shoots in and drives through. Pain sprawls well. Major Pain has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Carter Macki. Sloppy strikes from Macki. Those never looked like landing. Pain throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Macki was covering up waiting for the punch and Pain finishes the takedown easily into guard. Pain postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pain pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Macki is keeping the position for now. Pain trying to control but Macki is working from the bottom. Pain stays in close to Macki's body and controls the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Macki bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Pain's guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Macki passes Pain's left leg - he's now in half guard. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Macki is working for a kimura but Pain is defending it quite comfortably.
Macki tries to pass to full mount but Pain defends it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Carter Macki will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Macki doesn't succeed with the takedown and Pain moves into the clinch. Pain jumps guard.
Macki postures up.
Pain looking to hit a scissor sweep but Macki is one step ahead there. Pain working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Macki has passed into half guard!

That's one minute gone in the round. Pain is looking to control Macki's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Pain avoid being mounted? Macki is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Pain tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Pain on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Pain tries to get out of the position. Macki wants to stand but Pain has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Macki wants to free his trapped foot but Pain is holding on for dear life with his legs. Macki prevents Pain from improving his position. Macki throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Macki blocks the strikes from Pain.
Macki stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Pain to get to his feet. Pain takes the fight into the clinch. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Pain. Macki wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Pain has him pressed against the cage. Pain just leaning against Macki, taking a breather. Macki jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Pain walks away with a smile on his face. Macki gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Pain will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Macki lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Pain circles away quickly and effectively. Pain gets a clinch. Macki has had enough of the clinch but Pain keeps him there for the moment. Pain lands a body punch in the clinch. Pain breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Nice sprawl there from Pain as Macki shoots in. Major Pain has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Carter Macki. Pain decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Macki wants to get back to his feet. Pain slows the pace down in half guard. Pain is keen to just control but Macki is a slippery customer. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Macki wants to control but Pain is keeping busy and won't allow it. Pain is keen to just control but Macki is a slippery customer.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Major Pain. Macki shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Pain pinned against the cage. Pain gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Macki fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Pain avoids it really well and circles away. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Macki is defended easily by Pain. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Major Pain dominated that second round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
Pain scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Macki manages to work his way to half guard, despite Pain's best efforts. Macki tries to roll over but Pain keeps him under control. Macki is still trying to improve position. Pain seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Macki does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Macki is trying to control but can't.
Pain prevents Macki from improving his position. Pain slips a nice elbow through Macki's hands, connecting with Macki's forehead.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pain scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Pain trying to pass the guard but Macki defending well. Macki looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Pain decides to stand up. Pain shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Macki kicks off Pain and gets to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nice takedown defense from Pain. No joy for Macki on that attempt. Macki takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Pain tries to clinch there but Macki circles away.
Macki misses with a takedown attempt and Pain moves into the clinch. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Pain pulls guard successfully.
Pain wants to get back to his feet but Macki is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Macki working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Macki drops back looking for a leg! Pain is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Pain manages to kick Macki off! Macki jumps back into Pain's guard. Macki stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pain swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Macki trying to control the position from guard on top but Pain is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Pain is looking for a triangle but Macki pushes his legs off easily.
Pain keeping moving, preventing Macki from controlling successfully. Macki throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Pain works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Macki stands and steps away. Pain gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Pain gets the takedown into side control. Macki tries to escape but Pain is in control. Macki is trying to improve his position. Pain tries to advance to mount but can't. Macki sneaks back into half guard. Major Pain overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Macki keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Macki is trying to stand back up but Pain is controlling him
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Major Pain. Well Pain has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win...
