Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kade Harris! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Sgt Al Moranas! The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Colin Fray and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Harris takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Moranas tries to clinch but Harris moves away and Harris counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Harris stands up from half guard. Moranas avoids a punch combination nicely.

and Harris takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Harris avoids the head kick by Moranas.

He's worked his way up against the cage but Harris has just dragged him back down to the mat. Moranas felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Harris stands up and beckons Moranas to his feet. Moranas moves to clinch but Harris breaks away and Harris counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Kade Harris. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Harris, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
