Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lawrence Alvarado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dani Lorva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Dani Lorva was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Lawrence Alvarado! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dani Lorva! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Shirou Masuda and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lorva moves into the clinch. Alvarado really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Lorva manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Lorva looking for a guillotine here but Alvarado defends easily.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Lorva can do anything to dispel that myth. Lorva can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Alvarado controls the pace. Alvarado slips nicely into half guard, despite the strikes coming from Lorva. Alvarado thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Lorva's head. Alvarado perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Lorva is trying to maintain the position but Alvarado is very close to passing his half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Alvarado seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Alvarado wants to take a breather but Lorva is having none of it.
Lawrence Alvarado has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Alvarado shoots in looking for a takedown but Lorva manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Alvarado's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Alvarado throws a sloppy head kick and Lorva moves out of range easily. Lorva keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Lorva closes the distance and pushes Alvarado back into the cage. Lorva is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Alvarado pulls him back up using the underhooks. Lorva breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Lorva looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Alvarado looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Lorva!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lorva dodges the ground and pound from Alvarado. Alvarado has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Lorva! Alvarado looking to control and managing it successfully. Alvarado will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Alvarado lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Lorva hang on? Lorva really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Alvarado. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Lorva tries to improve his position but Alvarado has taken his back! Alvarado has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Lorva tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Alvarado pushes Lorva away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
