Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joe Ivar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Giorgio Radini (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Giorgio Radini!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Vladimir Khabensky and Illya Tyunina.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Radini darts in looking for a takedown but Ivar gets double underhooks and turns Radini into the cage.
Ivar wants to break free but Radini has control.
Ivar wants to break free but Radini has control.
Radini wants a takedown but no success here.
Ivar is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Radini is defending well.
Radini has Ivar pressed against the cage, preventing Ivar from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Radini is trying to force a seperation but Ivar has the dominant position.
Ivar gets underhooks to prevent Radini's takedown attempt.
Joe Ivar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Giorgio Radini.

Radini's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Ivar tries to buck Radini off but Radini is having none of it.

Radini is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Ivar tries to escape but Radini is in control.
Ivar is looking for a sweep.
Ivar might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Ivar gets back to half guard.
Radini trying to control from Ivar's half guard. Ivar has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
Ivar wants to sweep but no luck.

Ivar working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Radini doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Radini manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Ivar tries to bench press Radini off him but Radini keeps the position.
Ivar manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Ivar has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Radini is trying to escape the mount.
Radini looks winded!

Ivar with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Ivar looking to control but Radini is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Radini tries to hold on but Ivar pushes him away.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Ivar throws some wild stikes that Radini manages to avoid easily.
Radini wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Ivar.
Radini is trying to escape the mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Joe Ivar dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Ivar shoots in but Radini avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Ivar wants to clinch up but Radini keeps it at a distance.

Ivar gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Radini is looking to control Ivar's arms but Ivar gets an underhook and turns him. Now Radini has his back to the cage.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Radini as Ivar tries to tie him up.
Radini tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Ivar changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Radini fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Radini takes a body punch but keeps moving.

Ivar goes for a double leg but Radini avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Radini continues to drive forward.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joe Ivar. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Radini tries to stall but Ivar uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Ivar tries for a takedown but Radini manages to get underhooks.

Radini has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Ivar is proving hard to escape from.

Ivar perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Radini can do anything to dispel that myth.
Ivar thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Radini's head.
Ivar is looking to take a break and control but Radini is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Joe Ivar overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Radini is positioning himself well to prevent Ivar advancing to mount.
Ivar looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Ivar decides to stand and escape the position.
Ivar throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Ivar throws a sloppy head kick and Radini moves out of range easily.
Ivar stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Ivar wants it to stay on the feet.
Ivar will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Ivar has Radini up against the cage in a clinch.
Radini prevents the takedown attempt.
Radini throws an elbow but it misses.

Radini is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Ivar gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Radini fails to pull guard.
Ivar wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Radini has him pressed against the cage.
Ivar wants a takedown.
Radini tries to circle away but Ivar has him pinned against the cage.
Ivar looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Radini controlling the action here for a moment.
Ivar lands on the inside with an uppercut.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
The referee is keeping an eye on Ivar - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Ivar is working Radini over against the cage.
Radini has Ivar pressed against the cage, preventing Ivar from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Ivar drags the fight down to the ground.
Ivar manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Radini manages to get himself to full guard.
Ivar engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Ivar throwing strikes but missing.

Ivar pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Radini is keeping the position for now.
Radini manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Ivar wants to control but Radini is having none of it.
Ivar is looking to improve his position but Radini isn't that keen on the idea.

Radini lands a big shot there that rocks Ivar but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Radini really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ivar. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Ivar manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Ivar avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Radini.

Ivar kicks Radini off and gets back to his feet.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Radini takes a jab right on the kisser.

and Ivar moves into the clinch.
Radini takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Radini is trying to pull guard but Ivar turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Radini is looking for a takedown.
Ivar wants to break free but Radini has control.
Ivar looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Radini jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Ivar walks away with a smile on his face. Radini gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Joe Ivar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Giorgio Radini.
Ivar keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Ivar tries to score a power double leg takedown but Radini sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ivar somewhat.

Radini doesn't manage to clinch there - Ivar circles away.

Ivar has taken the fight to the clinch.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Ivar tries to land knees in the clinch but Radini avoids the damage to the body.
Radini looking to slow down the pace here.
Giorgio Radini has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Joe Ivar is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Radini looking to throw knees to the head but Ivar is blocking nicely.
