Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sergei Mironov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hannibal Lyons (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Mironov might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Down by Law - by Madball. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lyons fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Mironov throws a body punch but Lyons moves out of range.
Lyons cracks the inside of Mironov's front leg.
Mironov keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Lyons ducks under a wild hook from Mironov.
Mironov scores with a sloppy right hand. Lyons should have avoided that one.
Lyons moves into range and connects with a jab.
It looks like Sergei Mironov has been cut.
We've been told by Mironov's head coaches at Ludus Magnus that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Mironov is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Lyons is aware though and is defending well.
Mironov controls Lyons momentarily but Lyons frees himself.
Lyons postures up in Mironov's guard and throws a big left but Mironov blocks it.

Lyons tries to free his leg and advance position but Mironov is retaining full guard.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Mironov throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

and Mironov takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Lyons throws a half hearted mid kick.
Lyons fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Sergei Mironov's cut is getting worse.
Lyons throws a chopping leg kick but Mironov manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Mironov throws a looping overhand right but Lyons ducks down to avoid it.
Lyons bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Mironov's head backwards.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Lyons is looking to land body kicks.
Mironov ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Lyons moves away.
Mironov checks a leg kick.
Lyons tries to clinch there but Mironov circles away.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Lyons.
Lyons slips a jab from Mironov.
Lyons is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Lyons is looking to score with low kicks.
Lyons throws a front kick aimed at Mironov's knee but Mironov avoids it well.

Lyons tries to score with a low kick but Mironov moves his leg out of the way.
Hannibal Lyons is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Lyons connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Mironov displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Lyons throws out the jab.

Lyons scores with a nice right hand.
Mironov throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Lyons sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Lyons feints and then cracks Mironov's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Mironov down.
Lyons lands a really nice looking cross but Mironov seems unphased.
Lyons stuffs the takedown attempt from Mironov. Mironov gets slowly back to his feet.
A punch lands to the side of Mironov 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Jeez, Sergei Mironov's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
Mironov keeps the fight on the outside.
Lyons throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Mironov takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Mironov misses with a wild body shot.
Mironov is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Lyons's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.
Lyons sends Mironov crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Lyons is motioning to the referee to let Mironov up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Mironov is rocked!
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Sergei Mironov's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:19 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Hannibal Lyons!
A very excited looking Hannibal Lyons made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
