Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Christian Kane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Juliano Villar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Villar has chosen The Prophet by Soulfly as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Christian Kane!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Juliano Villar!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Albert Achterberg and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kane is looking to clinch.
Kane wants to slow Villar down by chopping away at his legs.
Villar moves out of range as Kane throws a body kick.
Christian Kane seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kane throws a nice looking combination but Villar bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Kane fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Villar keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Villar has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Villar has taken the fight to the clinch.
Kane goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Villar tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Kane smiles and moves away.
The crowd cheers as Kane lands an impressive looking overhand right. Villar doesn't seem phased though.
Villar avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Villar moves out of range as Kane throws a body kick.
Kane misses with an uppercut.

Villar looks to land a left hand but Kane moved out of range nicely.
Villar fails in his attempt to clinch.

Villar fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kane manages to avoid it.
Villar tries to close the distance and clinch but Kane swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Kane tries a low kick but Villar avoids it.
Kane circles away from the clinch attempt.
Villar misses with a hook.
Villar tries to clinch up.
Kane throws a nice looking combination but Villar bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Christian Kane is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Villar scores with a jab. Kane acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Villar fails with an attempt to clinch.
Villar walks into a left hand.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kane jabs Villar to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Kane looks to throw the jab but Villar is out of range.
Kane misses with an attempted mid kick.
Villar throws a hook but Kane avoids it easily.
The fight stays on the outside here - Villar looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Villar rushes Kane and presses him up against the cage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Villar jumps guard and drags Kane to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Kane has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Kane seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Villar has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kane can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Villar looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Kane passes into half guard.

Villar is trying to control but can't.
Kane is trying to control the action in half guard but Villar is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Villar looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
The fighters are battling for position here. Villar manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Villar working for a triangle but Kane defends it easily.
Villar has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Kane doesn't defend quickly enough and Villar has managed to lock this one up! Can Kane escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Villar on a fantastic submission victory.

After winning the bout, Juliano Villar thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
