Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Sean Callaghan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Christopher Ross! The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Paulsen Ambrosius and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Callaghan misses with a low kick. Ross lands a jab to the head.
Callaghan attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Ross pushes Callaghan up against the cage in a clinch. We've been hearing reports that Callaghan has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Ross manages to break the clinch.
Callaghan throws a lazy head kick and Ross holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Ross is trying to pull guard but Callaghan turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Callaghan drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Ross gets the underhooks and prevents it.

That's one minute gone in the round. Ross is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Ross can do anything to dispel that myth. Callaghan trying to control the position from guard on top but Ross is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Callaghan prevents Ross from getting back to his feet. Ross wants to sweep but no luck. Callaghan makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Ross trying to keep a closed guard but Callaghan is proving a slippery customer.

Christopher Ross has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Ross rushes Callaghan and presses him up against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Callaghan drops down looking for an ankle pick but Ross pulls his leg out and moves away.
Callaghan pivots, looking for a leg kick but Ross is out of range and Callaghan settles back down. Ross is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Callaghan misses with a low kick.

Sean Callaghan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Callaghan tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Callaghan tried to score with a low kick but Ross checks it. Callaghan misses with a low kick. Callaghan throws a head kick that misses and Ross counters with a thumping low kick. Ross checks the leg kick nicely there.

Ross scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Ross looks to land a combination but Callaghan avoids it well. Callaghan attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Ross checks a low kick from Callaghan. Callaghan throws a sloppy head kick and Ross moves out of range easily. Ross tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Ross misses with a wild body shot. Christopher Ross is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Callaghan feints and as Ross raises his hands in defense, Callaghan changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Ross really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Callaghan. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Ross throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Callaghan escapes and throws Ross's legs to the side, diving into side control! Callaghan is looking to take a break and control but Ross is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Callaghan scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Ross to see if he's OK. Ross is trying to improve his position. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Ross misses with a strike from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ross is working to avoid the ground and pound but Callaghan connects with a decent elbow. Callaghan landing strikes. Callaghan lands some shots froms side control.
It looks like Christopher Ross has been cut. Callaghan working the body and head with strikes.
Ross is rocked! Callaghan landing strikes. Ross is still in real trouble! Can Callaghan finish him? Callaghan remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Ross trying to control but Callaghan flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Callaghan is raining down hard shots and and Ross has had enough - he's tapped out due to the strikes!
