Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Matthew Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sean Hughes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Hughes's choice of entrance music: eminem-lose yourself. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Matthew Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Sean Hughes!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Paul Tew and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hughes swats away the attempt to clinch by Silva.
Silva shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Hughes but Hughes pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Silva avoids the head kick by Hughes.
Silva closes the distance looking to clinch
and Silva takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Hughes lands a right hook to the body.
Hughes tries to clinch but Silva is having none of it.
Silva circles away from the clinch attempt.
Silva drives through and clinches with Hughes against the cage.
Hughes jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Silva walks away with a smile on his face. Hughes gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Silva clinches.
Hughes should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Silva is trying to trip Hughes. He has hold of a leg but Hughes is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Silva persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Hughes is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Silva pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Hughes is keeping the position for now.
Silva drops back looking for a leg! Hughes is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Hughes manages to kick Silva off! Silva jumps back into Hughes's guard.

Silva throws a strike but Hughes rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

and Silva counters with a right hand to the body.

Hughes shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Silva as he avoids it easily.
Silva fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Hughes avoids it really well and circles away.
Hughes tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Silva manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Silva shoots in looking for a takedown. Hughes tries to sprawl out of it but Silva keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hughes manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Silva wants to land a leg kick but Hughes is out of range.

Silva closes the distance and clinches up with Hughes, looking for a takedown. Silva pushes Hughes against the cage but Hughes circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Silva will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Matthew Silva.
