Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Pony (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carter's entrance music is La Coka Nostra - That's coke. A fine choice. David Pony acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ryan Carter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, David Pony! The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A shot to the liver by Carter. Beautiful body shot. Carter bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Carter misses with a series of wild punches.
Pony throws a low kick but Carter avoids it. Carter connects with the punch. Pony wants to land a leg kick but Carter is out of range. Pony tries to clinch but Carter is having none of it. Carter works Pony's body with a nice hook. Carter misses the shot to the body. Pony misses with a left hand and Carter cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Carter thows a body shot but no joy. A cross from Carter lands. Pony doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Pony throws a big shot that misses. Good exchange - Carter coming out on top. Carter lands a nice hook to Pony's body. Pony takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Carter is looking to wear down Pony with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. A nice leg kick lands there from Carter.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pony lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Pony chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Carter throws a lazy right hand but Pony sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Pony showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Carter.
Pony throws an overhand right that lands on Carter's shoulder, as Carter tries to avoid the shot. The fighters circling - Pony throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Pony uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Carter. Carter keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Pony misses with a low kick as Carter jumps back. Carter misses with a hook. Carter uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Pony.
Carter has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Carter misses with a looping left. Pony misses the jab. Nice defenses there by Pony. Carter is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. The fighters circle momentarily. Carter darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Ryan Carter is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Carter lands a head shot. Ryan Carter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A combination from Carter does no damage. Carter lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Carter lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Pony backs up against the cage.
Nice uppercut lands for Carter. That snapped Pony's head back.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Carter slips a straight right by Pony. Pony throws a hook to the side of Carter's head but Carter sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Pony misses with a wild body shot. Pony wants to clinch. Carter misses with a left hand and Pony counters with a nice double leg into side control. Carter won't be happy with that. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Sloppy strikes there by Pony. Carter holding on. Pony looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Carter is avoiding damage well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pony throwing shots but missing, from side control. Pony throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Carter works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure. Pony is looking to take a break and control but Carter is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Pony missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Pony wants to lay and pray for a moment but Carter keeps working. Carter blocking the ground and pound attempt from Pony.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Carter is positioning himself well to prevent Pony advancing to mount. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pony seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Carter swinging wildly here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Pony fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Carter is out of range. Nice uppercut there from Carter. Pony is looking to score with low kicks. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Ryan Carter will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Pony fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Carter on the side of the head. Pony pivots, looking for a leg kick but Carter is out of range and Pony settles back down. Pony looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Carter looks to land a left hand but Pony moved out of range nicely. Pony has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Carter finds it's way round the side to connect with Pony's head. Carter tests Pony's chin there with a solid looking shot. Carter slips under a jab from Pony. Ryan Carter is winning the standup battle so far. Pony slips a jab from Carter. Carter really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Carter blocks a jab. A nice leg kick lands there from Pony. Carter dips to his left and cracks Pony with an uppercut! Carter throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Pony. Carter fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Pony checks it well. A telegraphed right hand from Carter misses the target. Pony is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent. Carter throws a hook but Pony blocks it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pony misses with a looping left. Pony tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Carter paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Carter doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Carter throws a jab but it's blocked by Pony. Pony fails with an attempt to clinch.
Pony throws a hook to the side of Carter's head but Carter sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Nice straight punches there by Carter. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Carter. Carter scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Carter lands a jab-cross combination. Pony does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Carter bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Good work by Carter as he checks the leg kick. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Carter, as that shot connected.
Pony changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Carter tries to avoid it but Pony manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Carter to the ground. Carter escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Nice cross by Carter.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Carter's jab looks to have found its range, popping Pony under the eye. Carter takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Pony rushes Carter and presses him up against the cage. Carter blocks a body shot from Pony. Pony breaks from the clinch.
Carter ducks under a wild hook from Pony. Good shot there by Carter. Pony changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Carter rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Pony moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Pony misses with a hook.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Carter throws a jab but it's blocked by Pony. Carter scores with a jab. Pony acknowledges it with a nod of the head. A slow jab from Pony misses its intended target. Some wild striking there from Carter.
Carter throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Carter misses with a looping right. Pony misses with a looping left. Pony lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Pony misses with a low kick. Carter swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. A solid leg kick lands there for Pony.
Carter ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Pony uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Carter. Carter with a nice cross.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pony uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Carter. Carter throws a jab but it's blocked by Pony. Pony bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Carter tries a head kick but it misses.
Carter is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Carter throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Pony shoots in looking for a takedown but Carter manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Pony's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Ryan Carter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of David Pony. Pony throws a low kick, looking for Carter's leg but Carter calmly moves out of range. Pony throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Ryan Carter dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Pony dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Carter. That did some damage! Pony walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Carter checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Pony fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Pony gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Pony wants to clinch and Carter counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Carter moves away from the strike by Pony. Pony fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Carter, pushing him back against the cage. A short left from Pony. Carter lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Pony has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye. Pony scores with an uppercut up the middle. Pony with a knee to the head.
Pony scores with a shoulder strike. Carter blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Pony throws a punch but it's blocked by Carter.
That's one minute gone in the round. A head punch on the inside from Pony fails to land. Carter manages to break the clinch.
A looping hook to the body misses from Pony. Carter does a little dance to reset his feet. Pony waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Carter. Pony tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Carter paws at him with a jab and circles away. Pony slips under a jab from Carter. Pony gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Pony takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Carter to score with a decent uppercut. Pony throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Pony closes the distance but Carter moves to the side and Carter counters with a left to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pony gets a clinch. Carter is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Carter as Pony tries to tie him up. Carter on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Pony working hard to break the clinch. Carter gets through Pony's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. This has been an exciting period of action! Pony breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Carter tries to work over Pony's front leg with a kick but Pony checks it. Pony misses with a low kick as Carter jumps back. Pony swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pony throws a front kick aimed at Carter's knee but Carter avoids it well. Carter checks the leg kick nicely there.
A telegraphed right hand from Carter misses the target. Carter works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Carter jabs Pony right on the nose. Pony blinks but takes it well. A big right from Carter misses. Carter blocks a head kick by Pony.
Pony uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Carter. Carter shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Carter lands with a cross. Pony takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Pony lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Carter circles away quickly and effectively. Carter blocks a low kick nicely. Carter stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Pony. Carter misses with a hook. Pony ducked under it nicely. David Pony has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Carter scores with a sloppy right hand. Pony should have avoided that one. Carter pivots, looking for a leg kick but Pony is out of range and Carter settles back down. Carter avoids the head kick by Pony.

Pony takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Ryan Carter. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Carter, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
