Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Raphael Newman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tomasz Balt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tomasz Balt has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Raphael Newman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tomasz Balt! The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Paul Aken and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Newman fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Balt to the ground. Newman is now in Balt's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Balt can't keep his opponent in guard - Newman advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Newman has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Newman in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Newman tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Newman has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Newman has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Newman looking to secure an arm triangle but Balt defends it well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Newman looking to control and managing it successfully. Balt really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Newman. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Newman scoring with strikes but Balt is staying in there. Balt looks winded! Newman controlling from mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Balt defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Newman. Newman takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Newman could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Newman lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Balt is desperately trying to improve his position but Newman has a good base and remains in mount. Newman content just to control the position here. Newman is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Balt can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Newman controlling the position easily from mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Balt sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Raphael Newman dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Balt moves in looking to clinch but Newman pushes him off. Balt misses with a takedown and Newman counters with a nice body shot. Newman feints and as Balt raises his hands in defense, Newman changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Newman's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Newman sitting in guard, not really doing much. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Newman with a nice head shot there. Balt is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Newman is stalling in the full guard. Newman stands up from Balt's guard - Newman perhaps looking for a knockout. Newman shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Balt napping and manages to drive through into side control! Newman scoring with punches from side control. Newman tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Newman has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Balt is letting Newman control him for a moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Newman tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Newman working the body and head with strikes. Newman wants to stand but Balt is controlling his arm.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Newman in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Balt is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
