Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Aoki Aoki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Danny Ochoa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Aoki comes into the arena with Baka Survivor blaring out of the sound system. Ochoa has chosen Ice Cube - I Rep That West as his entrance music. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
18 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Aoki Aoki! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
19 - 10 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Danny Ochoa! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Aoki is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Ochoa's half guard. Ochoa wants to control but Aoki is keeping busy.
Aoki thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Ochoa is trying to control but can't.
Aoki scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Ochoa keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Aoki throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Aoki drops an elbow to the side of Ochoa's head. Ochoa is positioning himself well to prevent Aoki advancing to mount. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Aoki tries to pass the half guard into mount. Ochoa knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Aoki has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Ochoa has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Aoki is working away from the top position though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Aoki sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Ochoa defending well though. Aoki not landing any meaningful shots this time. Aoki missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Aoki not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ochoa on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Aoki prevents Ochoa from standing back up.

Ochoa looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Ochoa looking to control.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Aoki tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Ochoa wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Ochoa tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Ochoa wants to control but Aoki is keeping him busy. Aoki is trying to improve his position. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Ochoa staying calm. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Aoki Aoki dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Ochoa leaves Aoki with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Ochoa misses with a hook. Aoki ducked under it nicely. Ochoa swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Ochoa looks to throw the jab but Aoki is out of range. Ochoa connects with a jab. Aoki closes the distance and clinches. Ochoa misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Aoki.
Aoki misses with a hook from the clinch. Aoki tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Aoki swings away with an uppercut that misses.

That's one minute gone in the round. Aoki jumps guard but Ochoa stands there with Aoki around his waist. Aoki gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Aoki lands with a left to the head. Aoki tries to work over Ochoa's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Ochoa pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Ochoa is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Aoki is keeping busy. Aoki misses with some punches.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ochoa throws a punch but it's blocked by Aoki. A head punch on the inside from Aoki fails to land. Ochoa tries to break the clinch but Aoki is controlling the position. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Ochoa landing knees to the body.

Aoki is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Ochoa pulls him back up using the underhooks. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Aoki Aoki. That's going to take a lot out of him. Aoki lands a shoulder strike. Ochoa blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Ochoa tries to land knees in the clinch but Aoki avoids the damage to the body. Ochoa pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Good shot there by Ochoa. Ochoa is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Ochoa connects with a leg kick. Aoki looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Ochoa has tried to improve his agility in the runup to this fight. Ochoa lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Ochoa misses with a few strikes there.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Ochoa tries to bench press Aoki off him but Aoki keeps the position. Ochoa is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Aoki has just dragged him back down to the mat. Ochoa is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Aoki off and has taken his back! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ochoa keeps control of the position easily here as Aoki tries to buck him off.
Aoki tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Aoki is trying to escape the mount.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Ochoa looking to control and managing it successfully. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Danny Ochoa showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Ochoa. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. Aoki tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Ochoa misses with a body punch.

Aoki's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Ochoa tries to bum rush Aoki with a series of wild strikes but Aoki uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Ochoa just misses with a punch to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Aoki changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ochoa tries to avoid it but Aoki manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ochoa to the ground. Ochoa escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Aoki gets a takedown into half guard. Ochoa is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Aoki's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Aoki's back! Will Ochoa go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Aoki rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Aoki makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Aoki. Ochoa controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Aoki wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Ochoa is now in half guard. Aoki is pressing down on Ochoa's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Aoki looking for a sweep. Not yet Aoki, not yet. Ochoa wanted to stand there but Aoki had control of the position. Ochoa wants to stand and escape but instead Aoki has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Aoki Aoki overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Aoki lands a couple of decent looking shots. Aoki is looking to work some ground and pound but Ochoa has wrist control. Aoki working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Ochoa looking to control.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Aoki Aoki. I think Aoki has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
