Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aramite Wallace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Rovigatti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Tony Rovigatti!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Illya Tyunina and Konstantin Menshow.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wallace lands a big head kick that sends Rovigatti tumbling to the mat! Wallace takes a step backwards and waves Rovigatti back to his feet - he wants the finish!


It looks like Tony Rovigatti has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Rovigatti closes this distance looking for a takedown but Wallace circles away.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Wallace enables Rovigatti to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Wallace manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Rovigatti thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

That was a close round but I would say that Aramite Wallace will probably get the nod.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Rovigatti is looking to clinch but Wallace is avoiding it.
No joy there for Wallace, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Wallace fails to land with a series of punches.
Rovigatti fails with an attempt to clinch.
Wallace keeps the fight on the outside.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Wallace throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Wallace lands a left and a right that send Rovigatti crashing to the mat, dazed. Wallace thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


The cut above Tony Rovigatti's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Wallace keeps the fight on the outside.

Rovigatti ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Wallace tries to sprawl but Rovigatti drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Rovigatti seems to be working for a kimura but Wallace defends the submission attempt.
Wallace is trying to stand up here but Rovigatti is controlling him well.
Wallace knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rovigatti on the ground.

Wallace is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Rovigatti's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Rovigatti's back!
Tony Rovigatti has got the better of the ground game so far.
Rovigatti manages to reverse the position and now he's in Wallace's guard. Nice work there by Rovigatti.

My spies in St Petersburg MMA Gym inform me that Rovigatti has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

Rovigatti is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Wallace is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Rovigatti goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Wallace has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Rovigatti but great work by Wallace.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Tony Rovigatti's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Tony Rovigatti's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Aramite Wallace really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Red Square Supplements logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
