Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Daryl Davies (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alberich Megrez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Alberich Megrez!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Richard Clark and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Megrez cracks Davies with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Alberich Megrez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Megrez throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Megrez fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Megrez throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Davies just misses with a punch to the body.
Davies misses with a few strikes there.
Davies closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Megrez to the mat! Megrez manages to get full guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Davies advances to half guard.

Megrez is trying to stand back up but Davies is controlling him
Davies is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Megrez!
Davies lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Megrez hang on?

Megrez is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Davies takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Davies's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Megrez wants to try and get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Davies has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Megrez's face.

Davies pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Davies cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Megrez is rocked!
Davies is in full mount looking to finish with strikes. He lands a big shot, followed by another and Megrez goes limp! The ref jumps in to end the fight - a big win for Davies!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Daryl Davies!
