Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Otis Gein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tatsuo Nakano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nakano has chosen Disturbed - Decadance as his entrance music. Otis Gein has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
35 - 19 - 2, fighting out of Tokyo, Otis Gein! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
20 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tatsuo Nakano! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Shirou Masuda and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jab by Nakano. Gein closes the distance but Nakano moves to the side and Gein takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Nakano looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Gein is fending him off so far but Nakano persists. Nope, Gein circles away and we're back to standing. Nakano swats away the attempt to clinch by Gein. Nakano misses the shot to the body. Gein moves into range and clinches up with Nakano. Nakano jumps into guard, dragging Gein to the mat.
Nakano is looking for a triangle but Gein pushes his legs off easily.
Gein with a flurry of punches that miss. Gein keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Nakano's head. This has been an exciting period of action! Gein with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Nakano tries to land a sweep but no joy. Gein missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Gein is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Gein pushes down on Nakano's leg and manages to get into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gein wants to lay and pray for a moment but Nakano keeps working. Gein will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Nakano is trying to control but can't.
Gein missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Nakano landing strikes from the bottom. Nakano is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Gein thows a huge punch but Nakano dodges it nicely.
Gein trying to pass the guard but Nakano defending well. Nakano is trying to get back to full guard. Nakano is still trying to improve position. Nakano avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Gein. Nakano is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gein scoring with strikes to the body and head. Gein throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Gein seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. The fighters are battling for position here. Nakano manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Gein's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Nakano has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Gein can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Nakano working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Gein. Gein wants to control from the top but Nakano keeps moving. Gein tries to free his leg and advance position but Nakano is retaining full guard. Gein trying to control but Nakano is working from the bottom. Gein postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Nakano looking to hit a scissor sweep but Gein is one step ahead there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gein in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Gein throwing strikes from guard but Nakano blocks nicely. Gein is looking to work some ground and pound but Nakano has wrist control. Our spies down at at Brown House inform us that Nakano has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off? Nakano keeping full guard, as Gein tries to pass. Nakano trying to keep a closed guard but Gein is proving a slippery customer.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Gein accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Nakano is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Gein trying to control the position from guard on top but Nakano is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Gein drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Gein jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Gein stopping the sweep attempt from Nakano.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nakano throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Gein landing some decent shots from guard. Gein trying to control but Nakano is working from the bottom. Nakano is looking for a triangle but Gein pushes his legs off easily.
Nakano controls Gein momentarily but Gein frees himself. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Nakano looking for a sweep. Not yet Nakano, not yet. Gein passes Nakano's right leg, so he's now in half guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Nakano keeping control of the position. Nakano is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Gein's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Gein's back! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Otis Gein will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Nakano dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Gein jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Nakano keeps the fight on the outside. Gein tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Gein drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Nakano shoots in and drives through. Gein sprawls well. Nakano throws the left hand but Gein avoids the punch easily. Gein fails with an attempt to clinch.
Nakano swats away the attempt to clinch by Gein. Gein is looking to clinch. Nakano drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Nakano wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Gein, who protects the arm well. Gein is looking to regain half guard here but Nakano keeps moving and retains side control. Otis Gein overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nakano tries for a kimura but Gein is defending well. Gein tries to get back to half guard but can't. Gein wants to get back to his feet but Nakano drags him back down. Nakano creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Nakano has hold of Gein's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Gein tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Nakano cranks the arm and Gein screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Gein, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
