Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Eric Cartman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Esko Takanen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cartman's entrance music is Santana Ft Everlast - Put Your Lights On. A fine choice. Esko Takanen will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

40 - 20 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Esko Takanen!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Paul Gruel and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takanen throws a right hand that misses
so Cartman counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Takanen tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Cartman works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Cartman moves into full mount! Takanen won't be happy about that!
Cartman trying to control but Takanen is having none of it.
Takanen tries to hold on but Cartman postures up.
Takanen felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Cartman lands a big elbow.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Takanen wants to control but Cartman is having none of it.
Cartman misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Cartman prevents Takanen from getting the reversal.
Takanen wants to control but Cartman is having none of it.

Cartman avoids the attempt from Takanen to control.
BOOM! Cartman connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Cartman tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
You get the feeling that Takanen really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Cartman unloads with some shots from mount but Takanen bucks and avoids them well.
Takanen slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round.

Takanen is pressing down on Cartman's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Eric Cartman wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Takanen tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Cartman was well out of range. Poor timing from Takanen.

The fighters circling - Takanen throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Esko Takanen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Takanen catches Cartman with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Takanen lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Cartman ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Takanen misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Esko Takanen is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Takanen ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Cartman moves out of range as Takanen strikes.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Esko Takanen will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Takanen jabbing away but nothing is landing.
A solid leg kick lands there for Takanen.

Cartman is rocked!
Cartman is keeping his hands low and just asking to be knocked out. Takanen Raises his leg and lands a stunning axe kick! Cartman is out cold, face down on the mat!
