Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Danilo Caparas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scott Spade (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Danilo Caparas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 35 - 15 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Scott Spade!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Colin Fray and Ryoma Takatsuka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spade scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.

Caparas uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Spade.
Spade throws a right and a left that Caparas avoids nicely.
Caparas pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
A head kick from Spade lands but Caparas takes it in his stride.

Caparas throws a low kick but it's checked well by Spade.

Danilo Caparas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Spade counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Spade misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Scott Spade is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
