Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between William Shimazu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Curtis Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones has chosen Lacuna Coil - Without Fear as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Chris Saunders and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shimazu wants to clinch up but Jones keeps it at a distance.
Shimazu darts in trying to clinch
and Jones counters with a stiff right hand.

Shimazu tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Jones counters with a nice low kick that buckles Shimazu's knee momentarily.
Jones scores with a three punch combo!
It looks like William Shimazu has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Jones has managed to clinch.
Jones misses with a body punch.
Jones stalling the fight.
Shimazu is fighting off a takedown attempt but Jones is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Shimazu to the mat. Shimazu regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Jones wants to stand and escape but instead Shimazu has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Jones seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Curtis Jones.
Jones throws out a leg kick but Shimazu moves out of range and Jones only half commits.

Shimazu tries to circle away but Jones has him pinned against the cage.

Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Jones pushes Shimazu back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Shimazu fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Shimazu's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Jones drops Shimazu with a big knee straight up the middle! Shimazu is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!
Shimazu is breathing heavily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Shimazu dives in for a single leg takedown but Jones sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for William Shimazu. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Jones lands with a right to the head.
Shimazu is rocked!
Jones has the Thai clinch. He lands a big knee to the head that stumbles Shimazu - he's in trouble! Another big knee to the head from Jones, and another! Shimazu is out on his feet - the ref jumps in to save him and ends the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knees). Curtis Jones!
Our winner, Curtis Jones, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
