Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mees Metsast (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pete Marawich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Mees Metsast! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Pete Marawich! The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Jeff Smith and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ouch! a nice leg kick from Metsast, right into the meat.
Metsast fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Marawich. Marawich looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Excellent takedown into side control there by Marawich. Metsast manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Metsast tries to kick Marawich off but Marawich keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Metsast tries to get to full guard but Marawich has control of the leg. Marawich trying to control the action but Metsast is working from the bottom. Metsast works his way to full guard. Good work. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Marawich trying to control but Metsast is working from the bottom. My spies in Cozad MMA Las Vegas inform me that Marawich has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends! Metsast wants to stand and escape but Marawich is having none of it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Metsast looking for a sweep. Not yet Metsast, not yet. Metsast pulls Marawich in close to prevent any damage. Metsast wants to stand and escape but Marawich is having none of it. Metsast managing to control the position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Mees Metsast. Marawich throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Metsast's waist but Metsast gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Marawich off to one side. Metsast swinging wildly here.
Marawich slips a jab and a cross from Metsast.
Metsast moves into the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Marawich is looking for a takedown. Mees Metsast has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pete Marawich. Metsast breaks the clinch.
Marawich closes this distance looking for a takedown but Metsast circles away. Metsast lands a head kick. Marawich smiles back at him and beckons him forward. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A head kick misses from Metsast. We've been told by Metsast's head coaches at Brick Brawlers MMA (13 Coaches) that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Marawich blocks a low kick nicely. Metsast with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
A head kick misses from Marawich. Marawich looks winded! Marawich takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. A nice inside leg kick there by Metsast. That's going to slow Marawich down. Metsast moves into range and clinches up with Marawich. Metsast lands an uppercut. Metsast landing knees to the head.
Metsast escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Metsast displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
It looks like Pete Marawich has been cut. Metsast rushes Marawich and presses him up against the cage. Metsast keeps control of Marawich as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Metsast unloads a knee to the mid-section. Metsast breaks from the clinch.
This has been an exciting period of action! Both fighters circling a little - Metsast finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Marawich dodges the punch combination from Metsast.
Marawich takes one to the side of the head.
Metsast throws a nice outside leg kick. Metsast ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Mees Metsast is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Marawich gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Metsast. Metsast thumps Marawich with a low kick. Metsast dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Metsast lands with a right that hurts Marawich. Marawich looks to clinch but Metsast throws a short knee that drops Marawich. This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch and Knee). Mees Metsast!
