Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Evan Aho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Mir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Evan Aho! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frank Mir! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Wesley Smith and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mir scores with a hook. Mir misses with a low kick. Mir tries to clinch there but Aho circles away.
No luck for Mir with that takedown attempt. Mir throws a left and a right that both miss
and Aho counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Mir has Aho pulled in close to control his posture. Aho trying to control the position from guard on top but Mir is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Aho is fighting to break Mir's control of his arms but Mir is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Aho trying to control but Mir is working from the bottom. Mir wants to stand but Aho is controlling the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Evan Aho just wasn't active enough. Mir shoots for a double leg takedown but Aho sprawls well. He's pushed Mir's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Mir closes the distance and clinches up with Aho, looking for a takedown. Mir pushes Aho against the cage but Aho circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Evan Aho has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frank Mir. Aho stuffs the takedown. Aho darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Aho throwing shots but Mir is blocking nicely. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Aho is trying to control. Mir wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Evan Aho has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Aho lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
This has been an exciting period of action! Mir rushes Aho and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Mir throws an elbow that misses.
Mir is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Aho to keep the fight standing. Mir working some nice short punches in the clinch. Mir throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Mir wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Aho has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Mir uses from the top position. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Mir accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Aho had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Mir defends it easily. Aho is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mir loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mir slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Aho is breathing heavily. Aho prevents Mir from improving position. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Mir cracks Aho with a big right hand but Aho just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
A lull in the action here as Mir stalls from top position. Mir moves into full mount!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Aho is working to get back to half guard.
Mir lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Aho hang on? Aho takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Mir won't let Aho get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. Mir lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Aho hang on? The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Mir controlling the position easily from mount. Mir fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Frank Mir will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Aho gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Mir throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Mir slaps away a takedown attempt from Aho, before circling back to the center of the mat. The fight moves into the clinch position. The referee calls for Mir to work.
A short right from Mir on the inside. Aho throws a punch but it's blocked by Mir. Mir has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Aho uses from the top position. Mir has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Aho has passed into side control.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Mir wants to sweep here but Aho controlling him for the moment. Aho trying to control the position from guard on top but Mir is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Aho wanted to stand there but Mir had control of the position. Mir wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Aho stopping the sweep attempt from Mir. Aho has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Evan Aho wasn't doing enough on the ground. Aho throws a right and a left that both miss. Mir dives in and grabs Aho's left leg, looking for a takedown. Aho pushes down on Mir's head and hops out. No luck with that takedown attempt from Aho. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Aho shoots in looking for a takedown. Mir tries to sprawl out of it but Aho keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Mir manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Evan Aho. That's going to take a lot out of him. Mir fails in his attempt to clinch. Mir darts in and clinches Aho up against the cage. Aho is trying to pull guard but Mir has him pressed against the cage. Mir tries to pull guard but Aho holds him up against the cage and eventually Mir drops back down to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mir is trying to break free. Aho wants a takedown.
Mir stalls. Aho tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Mir avoids it. Aho is defending well against a takedown attempt. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Aho is trying to force a seperation but Mir has the dominant position. Mir goes for a takedown attempt but Aho pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Mir misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Frank Mir showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. And we move into the final round!

Mir wants to clinch up but Aho keeps it at a distance. Mir moves in looking to clinch but Aho pushes him off. Mir tried to score with a low kick but Aho checks it. Aho blocks the body kick.

Aho stuffs the takedown. Aho slaps away a takedown attempt from Mir, before circling back to the center of the mat. Evan Aho has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frank Mir. Aho looking to score a takedown here. Mir is defending well but Aho drives through and ends up in Mir's guard.

Mir takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Aho lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Mir escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Aho gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Mir manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Aho manages to get himself to full guard.
Aho is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Aho is trying to control Mir's posture but Mir avoids it. Mir tries to move into full mount but can't pass Aho's legs. Mir is staying tight to Aho's torso, preventing him from escaping. Mir decides to take the fight back to the feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mir closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Aho misses with a punch to the body.
Mir decides to pull guard. Mir escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Aho gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Mir looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Aho puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Mir tries to get to full guard but Aho has control of the leg. Mir is on the bottom, trying to hold on to half guard. He's throwing a few small shots here, to keep his opponent honest.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Aho tries to pass the half guard into mount. Mir knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Frank Mir is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Aho trying to control the action but Mir is working from the bottom. Mir preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head. Aho prevents Mir from improving his position.
And that's the end of the fight! Frank Mir comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Mir has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
