Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Luiz Thiaguinho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Raiden Blue (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Blue's choice of entrance music: Omen. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Luiz Thiaguinho!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thiaguinho looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Blue is fending him off so far but Thiaguinho persists. Nope, Blue circles away and we're back to standing.
Thiaguinho keeps the fight on the outside.
Thiaguinho tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Blue defends well and Thiaguinho ends up having to push Blue into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Thiaguinho breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Thiaguinho shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Blue but Blue pushes him off and we're back to square one.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Luiz Thiaguinho. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Blue shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Thiaguinho's guard.
Thiaguinho lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Blue!

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Thiaguinho cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Thiaguinho is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Blue is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Thiaguinho is landing with some decent strikes but Blue is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Thiaguinho lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Thiaguinho pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Blue defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Thiaguinho.
Thiaguinho is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Blue to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Blue shrugs it off.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Blue told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.

Thiaguinho wants to free his trapped foot but Blue is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Blue closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Blue lands in his opponent's guard.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Blue enables Thiaguinho to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Blue manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Thiaguinho stands up from Blue's guard - Thiaguinho perhaps looking for a knockout.
Thiaguinho tries for a takedown but Blue sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Blue fails in his attempt to clinch.
Blue takes a kick to the side of the head.
Thiaguinho shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Blue napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Luiz Thiaguinho overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Blue takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

A lull in the action here.
Blue tries to improve position but can't.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Blue can't do much from the bottom here.
Blue might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Thiaguinho haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Thiaguinho lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Blue down.

Blue seems a little lost for a moment, as Thiaguinho dominates the positioning.
