Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Del Hickman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ian Boxhorn! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Cecil Peabody and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Boxhorn misses with a combination
and Hickman counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Boxhorn looks to land a combination but Hickman avoids it well. Hickman wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Boxhorn shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Hickman has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Boxhorn is working away from the top position though. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hickman kicks Boxhorn off and gets back to his feet. Nice takedown defense from Boxhorn. No joy for Hickman on that attempt. Boxhorn misses with a jab, cross combination.
Boxhorn connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Boxhorn scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hickman moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Hickman manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Boxhorn is trying to stand but he's not in a good position to be doing that! Hickman has taken his back! Hickman is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Boxhorn has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here. Boxhorn wants to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hickman slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
Boxhorn is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. Hickman looking for the choke from the back. Boxhorn is trying to get back to his feet but Hickman has full control of the position and if anything, Boxhorn has just worked his way into a worse spot. Boxhorn preventing the rear naked choke attempt from Hickman. Boxhorn is keeping busy.

Hickman is looking for the choke from the back position but Boxhorn is controlling his hands well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hickman trying to control. Boxhorn avoids the strikes from Hickman. Boxhorn is trying to get back to his feet but Hickman has full control of the position and if anything, Boxhorn has just worked his way into a worse spot. Hickman is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Boxhorn holding both Hickman 's hands and preventing any damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Del Hickman dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Boxhorn shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Hickman sprawls well. Hickman wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Boxhorn gets slowly back to his feet. Hickman shoots for a double leg takedown but Boxhorn sprawls well. He's pushed Hickman's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Hickman looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Boxhorn is fending him off so far but Hickman persists. Nope, Boxhorn circles away and we're back to standing. Boxhorn lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Hickman backs up against the cage.
It looks like Del Hickman has been cut. Hickman tries to clinch up but Boxhorn circles away and keeps his distance. Hickman wants to clinch. Boxhorn lands with a nice combination. Hickman backs away looking to recover.
That's one minute gone in the round. Boxhorn stuffs the takedown attempt from Hickman. Hickman gets slowly back to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Del Hickman. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hickman tried to score with a low kick but Boxhorn checks it. Hickman tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Boxhorn defends well and Hickman ends up having to push Boxhorn into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Boxhorn fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Boxhorn is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Hickman pulls him back up using the underhooks. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Boxhorn prevents Hickman from breaking the clinch. Boxhorn is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Hickman is defending well. Hickman jumps guard.
Hickman has a closed guard, preventing Boxhorn from standing up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hickman is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Boxhorn avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Boxhorn really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hickman. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Boxhorn wants to stand but Hickman is controlling his posture from full guard. Hickman had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Boxhorn defends it easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hickman wants to get back to his feet but Boxhorn is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Boxhorn would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Hickman is trying to keep Boxhorn in close.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Boxhorn is looking to stand up but Hickman won't let him. Hickman trying to keep a closed guard but Boxhorn is proving a slippery customer.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
We're going to have a standup here because Del Hickman wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Boxhorn misses with a double jab
and Hickman counters with a solid body kick. Hickman gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Boxhorn is breathing heavily. Hickman looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Del Hickman overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Hickman is working hard here to advance position. Boxhorn trying to stand up but can't free himself from Hickman's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ian Boxhorn showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Del Hickman's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Hickman shoots and misses and Boxhorn counters with a nice uppercut. Boxhorn tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Hickman swivels and escapes. Boxhorn shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Boxhorn was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Hickman tries to escape but Boxhorn is in control. Boxhorn wants to stand but Hickman has him controlled and pulls him back into his guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Boxhorn wants to stand and escape but instead Hickman has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Hickman gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Boxhorn misses with a series of wild punches.
Hickman shoots in but no luck this time. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Hickman shoots in looking for a takedown but Boxhorn manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Hickman's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Del Hickman. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hickman shoots in and drives through. Boxhorn sprawls well. Hickman shoots and misses and Boxhorn counters with a two punch combo.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hickman fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Boxhorn shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Hickman manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Boxhorn is looking to stand up but Hickman won't let him. Hickman is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Boxhorn is aware though and is defending well. Hickman pushes Boxhorn off and gets back to his feet.
Ian Boxhorn seems to be getting the better of the standup. Boxhorn shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Boxhorn showed some decent athleticism there. Hickman tries to roll over but Boxhorn keeps him under control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Boxhorn is thwarting Hickman's attempts to control the position. Boxhorn wants to stand up but Hickman is controlling the position.
Boxhorn is looking to stand up but he'll have to free his leg first. Instead, Hickman manages to get to full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hickman had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Boxhorn defends it easily. Boxhorn won't allow Hickman to sweep him here. Boxhorn has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Hickman is proving hard to escape from. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Hickman has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Boxhorn is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position. Hickman jumps guard but Boxhorn turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
And that's the end of the fight! Ian Boxhorn comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Boxhorn has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
