Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Issac Turner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Gideon Kumar!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Donatello Bradman and Winston Howard.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Turner shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Kumar defends it nicely.

Kumar feints and as Turner raises his hands in defense, Kumar changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Kumar is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kumar throws a strike but Turner rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Kumar being controlled here, momentarily.
Turner wants to control from the top but Kumar keeps moving.

Kumar has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Turner is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Kumar breaks from the clinch.

Kumar shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Kumar trying to mount his opponent but Turner defends it.
Turner is looking to control Kumar's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Turner avoid being mounted?
Kumar is looking to pass Turner's guard but actually Turner recovers to full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Turner is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Turner avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Kumar trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Turner is on top in guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Kumar looking to hit a scissor sweep but Turner is one step ahead there.
Kumar really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Turner. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Turner advances position into side control!
Turner really is a fat lump.

Turner wants to stand but Kumar has his arm trapped.
Kumar is trying to buck Turner off.

Turner tries for a kimura but Kumar is defending well.
Kumar tries to bench press Turner off him but Turner keeps the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Turner lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Turner is looking to take a break and control but Kumar is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Turner tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Turner wants to stand but Kumar is controlling his arm.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Turner swings around for an armbar but Kumar sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Turner's guard.
Turner keeping full guard, as Kumar tries to pass.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Gideon Kumar will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Nice sprawl there from Kumar as Turner shoots in.
The fight stays on the outside here - Kumar looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Turner misses with a jab to the body

and Kumar counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Kumar is looking to work some ground and pound but Turner has wrist control.

Turner is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Kumar defends well.
Kumar in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Kumar stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Turner swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Kumar stands over his opponent and dives in with a flying punch! Turner throws up his legs and catches Kumar in a triangle! Oh this looks tight! Kumar tries to escape but he's forced to tap! Wow, fantastic work there by Turner! That came out of nowhere!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:25 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Issac Turner!
