Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lauren Bray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dani Lorva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dani Lorva will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Lauren Bray!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dani Lorva!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Hirohito Nitta.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lorva stuffs the takedown.

Oh Bray is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Bray moves out of range as Lorva strikes.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Bray.
Bray seems to have got his legs back now.
Lorva throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Bray sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Bray shoots in and drives through. Lorva sprawls well.

Lorva is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Bray takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Bray wants a takedown.

Bray is pushing Lorva up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Bray manages to pull guard.

Bray escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Lorva gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bray thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Bray pulls Lorva in to control the position.

Bray bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Lorva's guard.

Lorva has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Bray is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Lorva.
Bray controls the position.
Bray advances to full mount.
Bray unloads with some shots from mount but Lorva bucks and avoids them well.
Bray controlling the pace for now.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Lorva can do anything to dispel that myth.

Lorva has given up his back here. Will Bray look for the submission or keep pounding away?

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Bray working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet.

A telegraphed right hand from Bray misses the target.

Lorva tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Bray manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Lorva lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Lorva throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Lorva leaves Bray with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Bray shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Lorva as he jumps to the side.

Horrible takedown by Bray or perhaps it was just good defense by Lorva which made him look bad.

Bray shoots in looking for a takedown. Lorva tries to sprawl out of it but Bray keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Lorva manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Bray looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Bray avoids a punch combination nicely.

Lorva clinches up with Bray and pushes him back against the cage.

Bray gets control of Lorva's arms and successfully pulls guard. Bray will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Lorva throws a big elbow that misses.
Bray preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Bray not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Bray looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Lorva postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bray is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Bray manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Lorva manages to get himself to full guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Lorva isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Bray stacks Lorva on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Bray!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Lauren Bray will probably get the nod.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. And we move into the final round!


Lorva scores with a crisp jab that stopped Bray in his tracks.
Bray takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Lorva keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Bray moves in looking to clinch but Lorva pushes him off.
Bray fails with the takedown.
Lorva cracks Bray with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Bray fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Lorva, pushing him back against the cage.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Bray is trying to push Lorva away but Lorva has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.

Lorva is trying to force a seperation but Bray has the dominant position.
Lorva swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Bray wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Bray pulls guard effortlessly.
Lorva trying to control but Bray is working from the bottom.
Bray trying to control the position.
Bray tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Lorva would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Bray trying to strike off his back.
Bray lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Lorva!
Lorva wants to hold on but Bray pushes him away.
Lorva holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Bray tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Bray looking to control but Lorva is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Lorva is working to get back to half guard.
Bray throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.

Bray has hold of Lorva's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Lorva manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Lorva tries to control the position but Bray now has his back.
Bray missing with strikes.
Lorva wants to escape the position.
Bray has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Lorva.
What can Lorva do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
Bray keeps control of the position as Lorva tries to break free.

Bray is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Lorva has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
I really don't envy Lorva right now.
Bray biding his time, looking for the opening.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Lorva is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Bray gets his way!

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Lauren Bray.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Bray, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
