Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Hildebrand Coenan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dane Cook (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Cook's choice of entrance music: I Want You to Want Me by Cheap Trick. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Hildebrand Coenan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
16 - 10 - 2, fighting out of Montreal, Dane Cook! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Trevor Gratis and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cook tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Coenan was well out of range. Poor timing from Cook. Cook swings away with a body shot that misses
and Coenan counters with a nice uppercut. Cook misses with an uppercut. Coenan saw that one coming. Coenan loads up on a big right hand but Cook slips the punch. Cook lands the left hand. Cook bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Coenan's head backwards. Cook throws a left and a right that both miss
and Coenan counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Coenan throws a big shot that misses. Coenan moves out of range of the strikes. Sloppy strikes from Cook. Those never looked like landing. Cook throws a leg kick but Coenan sees it coming and checks it nicely. Cook displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Coenan throws out the jab. Cook is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Cook cracks Coenan with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. This has been an exciting period of action! Cook jabs Coenan to the body, keeping him at a distance. Cook scores with a hook. Nice defenses there by Coenan. Coenan scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Cook scores with a hook to the body. Coenan takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Coenan blocks a head kick by Cook.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cook misses with a hook. Coenan ducked under it nicely. We've been hearing reports that Coenan has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Cook moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Coenan takes a body punch but keeps moving. Cook pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A looping hook to the body misses from Coenan. Cook does a little dance to reset his feet. Cook throws a shot to the body.
Cook lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Cook works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Cook lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Coenan circles away quickly and effectively. A nice leg kick lands there from Cook. Cook throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Cook swinging wildly here.
Coenan tries to close the distance and clinch up but Cook swats him away and circles back towards the center. Coenan has Cook up against the cage in a clinch.
Coenan is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Cook blocking some punches.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cook looking to stall.
Coenan lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Coenan lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Cook backwards. Cook working aggressively here.

Coenan has Cook pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Cook manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Cook scores with an uppercut up the middle. Cook breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Coenan lands a hook to the side of the head. Coenan tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Cook's elbow. Cook's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Cook wants to clinch up but Coenan keeps it at a distance. Cook misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Cook throws a right hand that Coenan ducks under and follows up with a left that Coenan also avoids with ease. Coenan looks to score with a jab to the body but Cook is just out of range. Cook tries to clinch but Coenan is having none of it. Cook throws a right and a left that Coenan avoids nicely. A slow jab from Coenan misses its intended target. Coenan scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Cook misses with a two punch combination.
Dane Cook seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Coenan slips under a jab from Cook. Coenan moves out of range as Cook strikes. Coenan rushes Cook and presses him up against the cage. Cook is trying to break free. Cook is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Coenan is keeping busy. Coenan lands a right hand.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Coenan can't find room to land a body shot as Cook controls the action.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Coenan is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Cook is looking for a sweep. Coenan is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Coenan landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Cook keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Cook is looking to improve his position.
Coenan is pressing down on Cook's thigh, looking to free his foot. Cook is holding on for now. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Coenan is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Coenan is trying to work for a kimura but Cook is defending well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Hildebrand Coenan will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Some wild striking there from Coenan.
A jab from Cook does it's job there. Cook takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Coenan scores with a takedown into Cook's guard. Coenan throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Cook works some decent striking defense from the bottom. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Coenan accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cook has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Coenan can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Coenan postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Cook is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Coenan defends well. Coenan landing with the ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cook trying to keep a closed guard but Coenan is proving a slippery customer.
Coenan distracts Cook with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Coenan throws a big right hand that misses. Cook lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Coenan! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Coenan slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. The fighters are battling for position here. Coenan manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Cook trying to control the position from guard on top but Coenan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Cook trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Coenan looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Coenan pushes a forearm under Cook's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Cook is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
