Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Georges Grand Prix (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arturo Caldeira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Arturo Caldeira will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Georges Grand Prix! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Arturo Caldeira! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Dillan Fox and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Caldeira misses with a jab, cross combination.
Caldeira throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Grand Prix blocks the body kick.
Left hook, right uppercut from Caldeira. Excellent takedown into side control there by Grand Prix. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. A lull in the action here as Grand Prix stalls from top position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. You can see the frustration on Caldeira's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. The strikes coming from Grand Prix are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Caldeira tries to improve position but can't. Caldeira is trying to escape the position but Grand Prix is controlling the position. Grand Prix has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! You can see the frustration on Caldeira's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Grand Prix sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Caldeira is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Grand Prix working away. Caldeira seems a little lost for a moment, as Grand Prix dominates the positioning.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Grand Prix lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Grand Prix scores with a jab. Caldeira fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Caldeira, as that shot connected.

Grand Prix throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Grand Prix takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Grand Prix rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Caldeira counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Some wild striking there from Caldeira.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Caldeira lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Grand Prix circles away quickly and effectively. Caldeira fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Grand Prix misses with a kick to the body and Caldeira counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Grand Prix takes one to the side of the head.
Caldeira throws a nice looking combination but Grand Prix bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Grand Prix pushes Caldeira up against the cage in a clinch. Grand Prix lands a hook to the side of the head. Grand Prix misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Caldeira fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Grand Prix is defending well against a takedown attempt. Caldeira blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Grand Prix tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Caldeira is pressed up against the cage. Grand Prix has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Caldeira down to the mat. Caldeira avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Grand Prix looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Caldeira shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Grand Prix as he jumps to the side. Georges Grand Prix has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Arturo Caldeira. Grand Prix misses with a jab, cross combination.

Caldeira swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Grand Prix dives in and scores a takedown into Caldeira's guard. Grand Prix engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Grand Prix throws a big elbow that misses. Caldeira keeping moving, preventing Grand Prix from controlling successfully. Grand Prix has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Caldeira is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Grand Prix's corner is telling him to maintain position. Grand Prix seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Caldeira for as long as he can get away with. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Caldeira looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Grand Prix passes into side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Grand Prix is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Caldeira's shoulder. That is not cool. Grand Prix has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Caldeira! Grand Prix looking to control but Caldeira is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Grand Prix putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Grand Prix avoids the attempt from Caldeira to control. Grand Prix is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Caldeira can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Caldeira is in all sorts of trouble here.
Grand Prix takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Grand Prix loads up on a big right hand but Caldeira slips the punch. We've been informed that Caldeira has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Caldeira throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Caldeira shoots in looking for a takedown but Grand Prix manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Caldeira's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Grand Prix dodges the punch combination from Caldeira.

Caldeira bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Grand Prix's guard. Grand Prix wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Grand Prix is trying to keep Caldeira in close.

Grand Prix shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Grand Prix showed some decent athleticism there. Grand Prix trying to control from half guard but Caldeira is working away. Grand Prix keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Caldeira wants to improve his position but Grand Prix is controlling well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Grand Prix looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Caldeira tries to get to full guard but Grand Prix has control of the leg. Grand Prix slips a nice elbow through Caldeira's hands, connecting with Caldeira's forehead. Caldeira moves into full guard.

Caldeira is breathing heavily. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Grand Prix not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Caldeira bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Grand Prix's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Georges Grand Prix dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Caldeira gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Grand Prix controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Grand Prix trying to control but Caldeira is working from the bottom. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Grand Prix is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Georges Grand Prix wasn't doing enough on the ground. Grand Prix fails with the takedown. Grand Prix tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Caldeira defends well and Grand Prix ends up having to push Caldeira into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Caldeira ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Caldeira no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Grand Prix got a little sloppy there for a moment and Caldeira has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Grand Prix has managed to get both his arms back between Caldeira's legs - danger averted. Grand Prix sitting in guard here, content to control. Grand Prix lands a couple of digs. Grand Prix controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Georges Grand Prix overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Georges Grand Prix. Grand Prix misses with an uppercut. Grand Prix lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Caldeira circles away quickly and effectively. Grand Prix has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Caldeira finds it's way round the side to connect with Grand Prix's head. Grand Prix is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Grand Prix throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Caldeira in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Caldeira trying to control the position from guard on top but Grand Prix is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Caldeira must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Grand Prix is adopting a defensive guard. Grand Prix avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Grand Prix wants to sweep but no luck. Caldeira missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Caldeira trying to control the position from guard on top but Grand Prix is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Grand Prix utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Caldeira loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Caldeira postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Grand Prix is trying to keep Caldeira in close.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Grand Prix throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Caldeira sees it coming and avoids it easily. Grand Prix takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Grand Prix throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Georges Grand Prix is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Georges Grand Prix is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Grand Prix fails with a takedown attempt. Arturo Caldeira has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Georges Grand Prix. That's going to take a lot out of him. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Caldeira throws a series of punches but Grand Prix moves out of range. Caldeira throws a nice looking combination but Grand Prix bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Grand Prix tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Caldeira swivels and escapes.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Georges Grand Prix. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Grand Prix, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
