Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Israel Wood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fedor Emelyanenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fedor Emelyanenko will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Israel Wood! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Fedor Emelyanenko! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Phil Schofield and Sam Margolis.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No luck for Wood with that takedown attempt. Emelyanenko avoids a punch combination nicely.
Emelyanenko wants to clinch but Wood slips to the side
and Wood moves into the clinch. Wood tries to pull guard but Emelyanenko won't allow it.
Wood tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Emelyanenko just stands there and leans against the cage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Israel Wood. That's going to take a lot out of him. Wood working aggressively here.
Wood jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Emelyanenko walks away with a smile on his face. Wood gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Emelyanenko stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Emelyanenko wants it to stay on the feet. Wood shoots for a double leg takedown but Emelyanenko sprawls well. He's pushed Wood's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Wood shoots in for a takedown but Emelyanenko shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Emelyanenko tries to clinch but Wood moves away and Wood counters with a right hand to the body.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Wood shoots in for a double leg but Emelyanenko sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Wood could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Wood rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Emelyanenko moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Wood moves into the clinch successfully.
Wood changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Emelyanenko fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Wood is breathing heavily. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Wood is defended easily by Emelyanenko. Emelyanenko moves to clinch but Wood breaks away
and Wood counters by moving into the clinch. Emelyanenko looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Wood fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Emelyanenko tries to land a knee to the head but Wood blocks with his arms.
A battle for position here, against the cage. Emelyanenko is persisting with his attempts to control the action in the clinch, rather than do any real damage. Wood tries to pull guard but Emelyanenko holds him up against the cage and eventually Wood drops back down to his feet.

 That's three minutes gone in the round. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Wood has his hands on Emelyanenko's head, controlling the position. Emelyanenko tries to stand but Wood is controlling from the bottom.
Wood escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Emelyanenko gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Wood trying to control the position here. Emelyanenko wants to stand and escape but instead Wood has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Wood is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
 We're going to have a standup here because Israel Wood wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Wood dives in and grabs Emelyanenko's left leg, looking for a takedown. Emelyanenko pushes down on Wood's head and hops out. Wood tries to score a power double leg takedown but Emelyanenko sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Wood somewhat. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Emelyanenko is looking to clinch but Wood is avoiding it.

 That's one minute gone in the round. Nice sprawl there from Emelyanenko as Wood shoots in. Fedor Emelyanenko is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Wood has closed the distance and engaged Emelyanenko in a clinch.
Wood jumps guard but Emelyanenko stands there with Wood around his waist. Wood gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

and Wood counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Wood tries to score a body lock takedown but Emelyanenko shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Emelyanenko throws a knee to the head but misses.

Wood ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Wood no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Emelyanenko won't allow Wood to sweep him here. Wood has a closed guard, preventing Emelyanenko from standing up.
Emelyanenko got a little sloppy there for a moment and Wood has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Emelyanenko has managed to get both his arms back between Wood's legs - danger averted. Wood is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Emelyanenko wants to stand but Wood is controlling his posture from full guard.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Wood lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Emelyanenko! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Emelyanenko defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Wood. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Wood looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Israel Wood will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

and Wood counters by clinching up. Wood is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Emelyanenko is defending well. Come on Wood - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

He's got his arms around Emelyanenko's waist but Emelyanenko gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Wood off to one side. Emelyanenko tries to clinch but Wood is having none of it. Wood shoots in looking for a takedown. Emelyanenko tries to sprawl out of it but Wood keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Emelyanenko manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Emelyanenko wants to clinch.
 That's three minutes gone in the round. Emelyanenko wants to clinch. Wood will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Emelyanenko tries to close the distance and clinch but Wood swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Wood misses the body punch and Emelyanenko counters with a series of strikes. Wood will be more careful next time no doubt. Emelyanenko tries to clinch there but Wood circles away.
