Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hank Blair (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Klas Micropop (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Blair kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Bullet by Creed. Micropop has chosen Killer Instinct as his entrance music. Klas Micropop has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Blair instigates a clinch.
Nice body punch from Blair - that landed with a thud.
Blair wants to break free but Micropop has control.

Blair's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Blair cracks a nice hook into Micropop's ribs.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Blair throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Micropop stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Micropop does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Blair fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Micropop on the side of the head.

It looks like Klas Micropop has been cut.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Micropop pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Blair pivots, looking for a leg kick but Micropop is out of range and Blair settles back down.
Micropop scores with a hook.
Blair avoids the head kick by Micropop.
Micropop tries to clinch but Blair is having none of it.
Blair lands a slapping body shot.
Micropop looks winded!
Blair moves out of range of the body kick.
Blair getting the better of the striking in that exchange.

Blair has closed the distance and engaged Micropop in a clinch.
Blair wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Micropop has him pressed against the cage.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Blair just misses with a elbow thrown towards Micropop's brow.

I was talking to Blair's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Blair has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Micropop lands an elbow inside.
Micropop lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Blair backwards.
Micropop lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Micropop throws an elbow but it's blocked.

Blair breaks the clinch.

Blair gets tackled into the cage by Micropop. Micropop maintains the clinch.
Micropop is pushing Blair up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Micropop scores with a nice hook to the head.

Micropop comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.

Hank Blair's cut is getting worse.
Blair blocks an elbow strike.
Micropop blocks an uppercut.
Blair blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Micropop is looking to control Blair's arms but Blair gets an underhook and turns him. Now Micropop has his back to the cage.
Micropop lands with a short punch from the clinch.

Micropop using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Blair has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Klas Micropop seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Micropop avoids a punch combination nicely.

Micropop tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Blair was well out of range. Poor timing from Micropop.
Blair showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Micropop.
Micropop clobbers Blair with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Blair throws a lazy uppercut
and Micropop counters with a low kick, right behind Blair 's knee.
Micropop will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Nice defenses there by Micropop.
Some bone on bone action there as Blair checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Micropop scores with a crisp jab that stopped Blair in his tracks.

Hank Blair's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Micropop tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Blair paws at him with a jab and circles away.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Blair staying out of range there.
Blair moves out of range of the strikes.
Blair jabs Micropop to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Blair is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Hank Blair will probably get the nod.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Micropop uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Blair.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Blair looks to land a right hand but Micropop moved out of range.
Micropop is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Blair.

The fighters circling - Blair throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

A very excited looking Klas Micropop rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
