The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Black tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Wilson paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Black misses with a leg kick
and Wilson counters with an outside leg kick.
Black closes this distance looking for a takedown but Wilson circles away.
Wilson doesn't manage to clinch there - Black circles away.
Wilson blocks a low kick nicely.
Black bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

I was talking to Black's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Wilson told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.

and Wilson counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Black is lucky that one didn't land flush.
