Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Shuuto Yasui (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Delano Thompson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thompson is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: New York. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, John Roberts and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thompson throws a combination that misses
and Yasui counters with a two punch combo.
Yasui tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Thompson counters with a one-two to the body.
A nice combination there by Yasui.
Yasui definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

and Thompson counters with a shoot takedown. Yasui fights it but they end up in guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Thompson decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Yasui, up you get!

Yasui tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Thompson throws a sloppy head kick and Yasui moves out of range easily.

and Thompson counters with a nice double leg into side control. Yasui won't be happy with that.

Thompson postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Thompson moves into full mount!
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Thompson cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Thompson fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Yasui is rocked!
Oooooh, big shot lands for Thompson! Yasui is hurt baaadly! Thompson is firing away with more strikes - Yasui is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Delano Thompson!
After the fight, Delano Thompson was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
