Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jonnie Crypt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason McWhorter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jason McWhorter struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 186.1lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Jason McWhorter has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Jonnie Crypt's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jonnie Crypt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jason McWhorter!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Skip Squint and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The crowd cheers as Crypt lands an impressive looking overhand right. McWhorter doesn't seem phased though.
McWhorter closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Crypt shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts McWhorter as he jumps to the side.
Crypt throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
McWhorter takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Crypt stalks McWhorter and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into McWhorter's face. McWhorter staggers backwards, shaken.
McWhorter moves into range and clinches up with Crypt.
Crypt has had enough of the clinch but McWhorter keeps him there for the moment.
Crypt tries to break the clinch but McWhorter is controlling the position.
Crypt tries to pull guard but McWhorter holds him up against the cage and eventually Crypt drops back down to his feet.
Crypt jumps guard but McWhorter stands there with Crypt around his waist. Crypt gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jonnie Crypt. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Crypt wants to break free but McWhorter has control.

McWhorter jumps guard and drags Crypt to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Crypt throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as McWhorter works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Crypt drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Crypt jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Crypt stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. McWhorter swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Crypt postures up in McWhorter's guard and throws a big left but McWhorter blocks it.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Crypt is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! McWhorter is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! McWhorter has escaped and now he's on top!
Crypt wants to sweep but no luck.
Crypt keeping moving, preventing McWhorter from controlling successfully.
McWhorter avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Crypt working for a triangle but McWhorter defends it easily.
Crypt throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! McWhorter escapes and throws Crypt's legs to the side, diving into side control!
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
McWhorter wants to lay and pray for a moment but Crypt keeps working.
Crypt tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but McWhorter presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Crypt is desperately trying to improve his position but McWhorter has a good base and remains in mount.

McWhorter lands a nice shot to the head.
Crypt bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Crypt postures up in McWhorter's guard and throws a big left but McWhorter blocks it.

McWhorter working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Crypt doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Crypt manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
McWhorter looks gassed!
Crypt postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! McWhorter is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Crypt, into his guard.

Crypt is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but McWhorter frees his head nicely. Oh but Crypt has switched to an armbar! McWhorter is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
