The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circling - Spiteri throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Spiteri showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Thatcher.
Thatcher walks into a jab.
Thatcher throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Spiteri counters with a nice body shot.
Spiteri lands a nice looking body shot.
Spiteri displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Thatcher throws out the jab.
Thatcher takes a body punch but keeps moving.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Spiteri misses with a few strikes there.
Dave Spiteri seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Thatcher ducks right into an uppercut from Spiteri.

Thatcher lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Spiteri circles away quickly and effectively.
Thatcher avoids a punch combination nicely.

Thatcher lunges at Spiteri with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Spiteri's hand.
Spiteri stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Thatcher is still on wobbly legs! Can Spiteri finish him?
A big right followed by a crushing left from Spiteri knocks Thatcher out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!

Dave Spiteri gave a mention to GREEN!160 in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
