Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Marshall Creola (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan DePloi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ryan DePloi told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Marshall Creola!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ryan DePloi!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Creola throws a leg kick which misses DePloi's front leg but catches the back leg as DePloi tries to avoid it.
DePloi shoots in looking for a takedown but Creola manages to keep the fight standing, pushing DePloi's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Creola moves into range and clinches up with DePloi.
Creola lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Creola gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Creola breaks from the clinch.
Creola scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
DePloi has his takedown stuffed
and Creola counters with a nice body shot.
DePloi fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Marshall Creola has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ryan DePloi.
DePloi dodges the punch combination from Creola.
DePloi shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
DePloi closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Creola quickly recovers to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
DePloi in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Creola tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from DePloi!
