Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cary Stout (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Guke Vita (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Cary Stout!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Guke Vita!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Aafke Stam and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vita fails with a takedown attempt.

Stout closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Vita's guard.

Vita looking for a guillotine here but Stout defends easily.
Stout wants to control from the top but Vita keeps moving.
Vita trying to control the position.
Stout won't allow Vita to sweep him here.
Vita keeping moving, preventing Stout from controlling successfully.

Stout avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Vita not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Stout wants to control from the top but Vita keeps moving.
Stout knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Vita on the ground.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Stout fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Vita, pushing him back against the cage.
Vita is trying to break the clinch but Stout is controlling him.

Stout can't find room to land a body shot as Vita controls the action.
Stout just leaning against Vita, taking a breather.
Stout tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Vita is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Stout to keep the fight standing.

Stout has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Vita clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Vita wants to get back to his feet.
Vita looking very determined here, making life difficult for Stout.
Vita tries to roll but Stout sticks to his back.
Vita trying to control the hands but Stout breaks the grip.
Stout is controlling the position but Vita somehow manages to roll and ends up with half guard.

Vita has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Stout is working away from the top position though.
Stout wants to stand up but Vita is controlling the position.
Stout is looking to stand up but he'll have to free his leg first. Instead, Vita manages to get to full guard.
Vita is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Stout has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Vita is proving hard to escape from.

Vita had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Stout defends it easily.
Stout stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Vita swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Vita is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Vita escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Stout gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Cary Stout will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!



Stout gets the takedown into side control.
Vita can't do much from the bottom here.
Stout lands some shots froms side control.
Stout is working Vita over with some ground and pound from side control.

Vita is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Stout happy to just control the position for now.

Vita pushes Stout away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Stout gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Vita is trying to control Stout's posture but Stout avoids it.

Vita is looking to regain half guard here but Stout keeps moving and retains side control.

You can see the frustration on Vita's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Stout remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Vita holds on tight, trying to prevent any damage.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Vita enables Stout to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Vita manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Stout stays in close to Vita's body and controls the position.
Vita not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Stout seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Vita lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Stout!
Vita is breathing heavily.
Vita trying to control but Stout is having none of it.

Vita might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Stout haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Vita sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.

Vita jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Stout manages to avoid the submission attempt.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Vita tries to move to mount but Stout blocks the move with his legs.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Cary Stout dominated that second round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Vita is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Stout is controlling him.
Stout might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Stout drops back, looking for a kneebar! Vita looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Vita looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Vita!
Stout is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Vita off and has taken his back!
Vita takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Stout is persistently looking for the submission but Vita is defending it well.

Vita trying to control but not successfully.
Vita turns into Stout and is now in his guard.

Stout looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Vita wants to control from the top but Stout keeps moving.

Stout working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Vita has passed into half guard!

Stout blocking the ground and pound.
Stout is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Vita scoring with strikes but Stout is staying in there.
Stout is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Cary Stout overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Vita connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Guke Vita has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Cary Stout is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Vita thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Cary Stout.
Well Stout has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
