Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bryce Garrison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rick James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bryce Garrison!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rick James!
The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Garrison is defended easily by James.
Garrison throws a head kick that misses.

Garrison clinches up with James and pushes him back against the cage.

James manages to break the clinch.
James fails with a takedown attempt.
Garrison dives in and grabs James's left leg, looking for a takedown. James pushes down on Garrison's head and hops out.
James changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Garrison tries to avoid it but James manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Garrison to the ground. Garrison escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
James throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Garrison shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as James sprawls well. James wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Garrison gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bryce Garrison. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Garrison stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Garrison wants it to stay on the feet.
Garrison takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
James throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Garrison's waist but Garrison gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing James off to one side.
Garrison misses with a two punch combination.
James shoots in for a double leg but Garrison sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Garrison gets in close and instigates a clinch.
James wants to break the clinch but can't.
Garrison stalls.
Garrison prevents the takedown attempt.

Garrison lands a left hand.
Garrison throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
James is trying to pull guard but Garrison has him pressed against the cage.
Garrison is looking for a takedown up against the cage. James gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
James goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Garrison pulls James into guard.
Garrison pulls James in close to his closed guard and prevents James from doing any damage or advancing position.
Garrison is striking from the bottom but James uses the opportunity to pass into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Garrison lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for James!

James is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Garrison looking to control and managing it successfully.
James has given up his back here. Will Garrison look for the submission or keep pounding away?
Garrison has good solid back control here.
You can see the frustration on James's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

James tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Garrison manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
James shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Garrison but Garrison pushes him off and we're back to square one.

James gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Garrison is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. James is defending well for now.
Garrison wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
James is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Garrison pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Garrison changes levels and goes for a takedown here. James fights it off and pushes away nicely.

James closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Garrison is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables James to keep the fight standing.

James has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Garrison clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Garrison manages to reverse the position and now he's in James's guard. Nice work there by Garrison.
James is breathing heavily.
James is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Garrison thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

and James counters with a three punch combo that has Garrison backing up. Garrison nods at James to acknowledge the strikes.
Garrison shoots in for a takedown but James shows good takedown defense.

James darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Garrison regains full guard. Nicely done.

Garrison working for a triangle but James defends it easily.
Garrison is adopting a defensive guard.
Bryce Garrison overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Garrison trying to keep a closed guard but James is proving a slippery customer.
Garrison has James pulled in close to control his posture.
James trying to control the position from guard on top but Garrison is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
James tries to stand but Garrison is controlling from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Bryce Garrison will probably get the nod.

James slaps away a takedown attempt from Garrison, before circling back to the center of the mat.
James displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Garrison.
Garrison shoots in but James avoids the takedown attempt easily.

James lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

James can't get the takedown.
Garrison drops to a knee looking for a takedown but James gets the underhooks and prevents it.

James changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Garrison fights it off and pushes away nicely.
James closes the distance but Garrison moves to the side

and Garrison counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Garrison's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
James digs a good body shot into Garrison's ribs.
James will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
James throws a sloppy head kick and Garrison moves out of range easily.

I would just about give that final round to Rick James.
