Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brian Williams! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jose Rosario! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Gwen Towbar and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rosario changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Williams tries to avoid it but Rosario manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Williams to the ground. Williams escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Rosario scores with a takedown into Williams's guard. Rosario stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Williams swivels though and keeps the full guard. Williams is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Williams tries to land a sweep but no joy. Williams is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Rosario is controlling him.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Rosario rushes Williams and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Rosario jumps into guard, dragging Williams to the mat.
Williams postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Rosario is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Williams, into his guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rosario stands and throws Williams's legs to the side, diving into side control. Rosario decides to stand back up. Rosario steps back and let's Williams get back to his feet. Rosario takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Rosario tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Williams lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Nice sprawl there from Williams as Rosario shoots in. Williams shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Rosario is trying to defend but Williams finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Rosario is looking to escape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rosario is trying to maintain the position but Williams is very close to passing his half guard. Williams keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Williams wants to control but Rosario is keeping him busy. Williams blocks the strikes from Rosario.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Williams is trying to control the action in half guard but Rosario is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
We're going to have a standup here because Brian Williams wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Rosario closes the distance and clinches up with Williams, looking for a takedown. Rosario pushes Williams against the cage but Williams circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Brian Williams has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jose Rosario. Rosario darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Rosario looks winded! Williams holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rosario wants to advance to full mount but Williams doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead. Williams has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Rosario can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Williams has his foot on Rosario's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Rosario works his way back into a safe position though. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Williams throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Rosario accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Rosario looking to pass the guard. Williams is trying to control the position but Rosario postures up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Brian Williams will probably get the nod. That's time! Williams's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Rosario has Williams pressed against the cage, preventing Williams from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Rosario misses with a short punch on the inside. Rosario jumps guard.
Williams trying to control the position from guard on top but Rosario is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Rosario lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Williams! Rosario can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Williams is looking to escape.

Rosario tries to control but Williams wriggling away. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rosario punching from mount but Williams doing a good job of avoiding damage. Williams sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Williams is not content to let Rosario control the position.

Williams won't allow Rosario to pass to mount. Rosario is thwarting Williams's attempts to control the position. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Rosario is trying to control. Williams wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Jose Rosario hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Rosario tries for a takedown but Williams sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Rosario is breathing heavily. Rosario gets caught napping as Williams dives in and scores a takedown. Rosario manages to retain guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Rosario looking to control.
Williams wants to control from the top but Rosario keeps moving. Rosario working a defensive guard but Williams manages to pass into side control anyway.

Williams thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Williams working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Rosario seems a little lost for a moment, as Williams dominates the positioning. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Rosario is trying to control Williams's posture but Williams avoids it. Rosario might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Williams haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Brian Williams will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Rosario eats them both and turns towards Williams to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Williams shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Rosario avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

And that's the end of the fight! Brian Williams showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Williams, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Brian Williams wins by unanimous decision! Brian Williams decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
