Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Hisae Mutsu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam Schmierer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Schmierer has chosen Down in Dunedin by Pissd Chris/Tokie Konez/Kamasuda/Devil Keyz as his entrance music. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hisae Mutsu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Adam Schmierer!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Shirou Masuda and Yasuomi Hirokawa.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schmierer misses with a few strikes there.
Mutsu looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Schmierer connects with a solid leg kick.
Schmierer lands with a kick to the temple. Mutsu shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Schmierer has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Schmierer postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Mutsu to stand up.

Mutsu gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Schmierer to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Mutsu has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Schmierer.

Schmierer shoots in and bounces Mutsu off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Schmierer gets to his feet and stands over Mutsu, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Mutsu felt that one! Schmierer unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Mutsu from any more punishment!

After winning the bout, Adam Schmierer thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
