Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Antonio Hendrix (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tom Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Antonio Hendrix!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Tom Brown!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Viktor Lagutenko and Ivan Kurochkin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hendrix swats away the attempt to clinch by Brown.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Brown is defended easily by Hendrix.
Brown tries to clinch but Hendrix is having none of it.

Hendrix looking to score a takedown here. Brown is defending well but Hendrix drives through and ends up in Brown's guard.
Hendrix slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Brown tries to buck Hendrix off but Hendrix is having none of it.
Brown keeps trying to improve his position.
Brown is trying to control Hendrix's posture but Hendrix avoids it.
Brown really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hendrix. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Hendrix is looking to take a break and control but Brown is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Hendrix wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Brown, who protects the arm well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Brown tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
Brown can't escape the position.
Hendrix will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Hendrix has control of Brown's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Brown regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Brown tries to reverse the position but Hendrix maintains control.
Hendrix with shots to the head and body - Brown looks very uncomfortable down there.

Hendrix takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Hendrix really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Hendrix's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Antonio Hendrix just wasn't active enough.
Brown shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Hendrix as he avoids it easily.
Brown connects with a high kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Hendrix changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Brown looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.


It looks like Antonio Hendrix has been cut.
Brown is being controlled here.

Hendrix is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Brown is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Brown can do anything to dispel that myth.

Hendrix goes for an armbar but Brown turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Brown.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hendrix is on top in guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Hendrix is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Brown has managed to free his arm - good work.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!



Hendrix closes the distance and pushes Brown back into the cage.
Brown tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Brown is trying to pull guard but Hendrix turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Antonio Hendrix has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tom Brown.

Hendrix breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Hendrix shoots in for a double leg but Brown sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Brown has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Hendrix is working away from the top position though.

Hendrix is landing with some decent strikes but Brown is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Hendrix fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Tom Brown has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Antonio Hendrix is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Brown swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.

Antonio Hendrix showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Hendrix, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
